I arrived back at my house around 20 minutes after I left Finn's and I got ava to shower so I could make dinner for us both. I walked downstairs to the kitchen to find a note with a stack of cash on the table.
Leaving. Don't know how long so don't expect me soon. Here's money for you and ava. 300 a week. Email if you need more. Be thankful.

I felt tears stream down my face and soak up the piece of paper in front of me. I tore it into shreds before I threw it in the trash and took the cash upstairs. Can you believe it! She just left. Wrote a note down with a stack of cash and ran away. What did I ever do to deserve this?
My thoughts were cut off by ava walking down the stairs. I quickly wiped my tears once she walked into the kitchen.
"hey aves, what do you want for dinner" I quickly asked her
"anything is fine mills"
"okay how about pancakes"
"sounds good"
I smiled at her before I got the ingredients out to make the pancakes.
I finished making the pancakes by placing them on the plates and handing them to ava.
"mills?"
"hmm?"
"where's mum?"
"I wish I knew"
"Will she come back?"
"I hope so. As a better person." that was all I could answer. I really did wish she came back, just not like the person she left.

After dinner, I got ava ready for bed and I went to shower. After my shower I texted Noah and Sadie about the water fight tomorrow and boy do I need one.
