You've got me nervous to move,
so I just won't give anything to you

"Feeling better?" Jimin asks once I come to the living room and I pause, looking over at him.
"Did you sleep on the couch?"
"Yeah. It's comfortable." He grins and I yawn, then walk over.
"Thanks for staying with me." I lean over and give him a big hug. "My head doesn't hurt anymore and my nose is still stuffed, but I'll be fine in a day or two."
"Well, thank God for me." Jimin says, squeezing me back. "I'll make you another tea later. And you've got some dumplings left."
"You saved me some?"
"Yeah, I told you last night." Jimin says.
"Oh. Right." I think back to it. "I was a little out of it. I missed that part."
I stand up and walk over to the kitchen. There's a bowl of dumplings saved for me and I heat them up before going back to the living room. Jimin's watching something on the TV and I get comfortable beside him.
"How's he doing?" I ask quietly, staring at the screen.
"Eh, you know." Jimin leans back to stretch. "He's been better. But you know what I've noticed? He's becoming mean as fuck. Even worse than before and I've had enough of his shit all day every day."
"What does he do?" I chuckle.
"We had some stuff to take care of." He vaguely shakes his hand. "And whatever, we do it and get back home. And then, he had the audacity to say that I'm not focused and that I don't do anything right. We went back and forth about it and then I told him I'm going to see you. I saw it in his eyes, he wanted to knock me out. He's a little jealous, I think." Jimin smirks.
"Right." I roll my eyes. "And then what happened?"
"Obviously I didn't back down. I pressed on his emotions and said he's being all too sketchy and that he's too proud. I said he's not man enough to come face you and that's where he exploded. We got into a fight." He shakes his head. "I probably shouldn't have said it, but yeah, he'll come around." Jimin shrugs it off.
"That's why you stayed the night?"
"I stayed because you looked like a mess."
"Hm." I smile over at him, enjoying my dumplings with every bite that follows.
"But I think you should just go and talk it out." I say. "I don't want you both fighting because of me."
"It's not because of you. The way he's acting is on him only."
"Yeah, well, I provoked those emotions."
"And it's his responsibility to handle them right." Jimin shuts me down again. "Don't defend him about this."

It's my first day at work after I fell sick and it feels nice to be back again. Jimin crashed on my couch for a couple of nights, but I finally convinced him to go back home and make things right with Jungkook since I'm moving to a new apartment in the following days.
"Hey." Evelyn walks into my office once I'm back from checking up on patients. "Feel better?"
"Good as new." I smile, putting a file of paperwork aside.
"Well, you had a good care at home, so it's no surprise." She says and it takes me a second to realize she's talking about Jungkook and I have no choice but to go with it.
"Oh." I say, forcing a chuckle to leave my lips. "Yeah. He's been great."
"I still can't believe it."
"That I'm married?"
"Yeah, I mean, it all happened so fast."
"Well, it took me a while to get used to it too, so I'm not surprised." I stand up and round my desk.
"Do you have time this weekend? We could go to lunch, and you can bring your hubby." Evelyn smiles, poking my side.
"This weekend?" I chuckle and my head tries to think of quick excuses. "Yeah, I mean, I'll need to ask him—"
"We have an emergency!" I hear panicked voices coming from the hallway and I get relieved for only a moment before going to see what is going on. Both me and Evelyn step outside to the hallway and see the medics run past, pushing a portable bed.
"Prepare the operating room! We have a torn limb!"
I immediately run after the medics, seeing an unconscious man with half of his leg gone. As soon as I'm in the operating room, everyone around me starts to prepare everything. We need to be fast, otherwise it can be too late.
"What caused it?" I ask, putting on my gloves and hurrying to get everything ready.
"A firecracker." One of the medics answer before they walk out of the room, leaving me with my team.
My mind goes numb for a moment as I keep my eyes on the injury. A series of flashbacks enters my vision because if it wasn't for Jimin, I could've been in the exact same position back then. My leg could've been torn off.
A faint voice brings me out of my thoughts.
"What?" I ask, seeing one of the nurses right in front of me.
"I need to give him oxygen." She pushes past me, brushing my thoughts away.
"Are you okay?" Evelyn asks and I nod, feeling a little shaken. I've seen injuries that were even worse than this and yet my mind can't comprehend it now. But there's no time for pep talks, I need to focus and clear my head.
It's on me if he lives.
So I take a deep breath and begin.
