But now, there's no way to hide since you pushed my love aside

"Look who decided to show up. Unbelievable." Elise comments, making me realize her unnecessary thoughts will never stay unspoken. I quietly follow Jungkook to the table, not bothering to greet anyone as I sit down beside him. Surprisingly, no one else is here except Don, but no one mentions it.
I start to feel uncomfortable, bouncing my leg under the table as I watch the two keep on glancing at each other. They make me wonder if it's about Jungkook's unusual behavior towards me. He's putting food on my plate, making me surprised too at the sudden gesture, but I'm guessing that's the most I'll ever get.
Continuing with silence, I eat without questioning things and after a good while, Jungkook decides to speak up. "Jimin will drive you."
My heart clenches as he stands up and walks towards the front door. I didn't plan on staying alone with these two and I'm going to make sure to disappear in the next minute.
"You're not going to accompany your husband to the car?" Elise bugs in, surprised by me still keeping in place.
"Why should I?" I say, getting defensive. "I'm not his nanny."
"That's right, auntie." A voice chimes in cheerfully, making me let out a breath of relief. "Don't get into their business."
"You little—" Elise begins, her eyebrows lowering angrily as she glares at Jimin.
"Ah, Raina!" Jimin interrupts on purpose, already dragging me away from the table. "We're going on adventures!"
"Bye-bye!" He looks back, waving his hand as he pushes me out the door, quickly turning his bright face into a gloomy one as he sighs from the disturbing moment he participated in a few moments ago.
"She's a pain."
I agree quietly, following him to the car as he twirls the keys around his finger.

"You need to teach your son a lesson. He's been nothing but rude." Elise complains, looking over at her brother while sipping on her tea.
"Why?" Don raises his eyebrow. "It's important he gets the job done. I wouldn't want a better man to be my son." And with that, he walks off, leaving the sulking woman to herself as she calls over the butler.

"Thanks," I say with a sigh, closing the door and walking to the main entrance when I notice Jimin following.
"What are you—"
"What?" He asks quickly, keeping his hands pocketed in his jean jacket.
"Don't you have..." I hesitate. "Things, to do..?"
"I can't go in there?" He lowers his brows.
"I mean, what would you even do for hours?"
"I don't know. Walk around."
"Alright then." I elongate, confused as my eyes flicker down to his belt. "Hide your gun at least."
He shoots me an unamused look before walking after me. To anyone else, it'd look like I have a bodyguard, considering his all-black outfit and an intimidating look on his face.
I'm sure Jungkook told him to keep an eye on me.

"Hey," I smile, stepping into the office and taking my coat off.
"Hey." Evelyn smiles. "I can't talk right now. They need me up at ICU." She quickly stands up and takies some things along with her before gesturing back to her desk. "You've got some coffee over there."
"Thanks," I say. "Can I borrow your phone? I forgot to bring mine." Evelyn passes it to me and then she's already out the door.
I plan to call my dad and see him until my shift is over. Then I'll come back like nothing happened.
Glancing over my shoulder, I begin fastening my steps—headed to the direction of the back entrance of the hospital. I'm cautious, sending uneasy smiles to my co-workers as I rush through the multiple doors and right as I'm about to slip out to the streets, a hand clasps around my arm.
"Don't do that." My heart begins to race from being caught, not ready for the look Jimin is sending my way. "We aren't bad people, Raina. We're trying to protect you."
"How did you even know—"
"Your location. I can see where you move around." He raises a brow and I sigh in frustration, feeling the brims of tears cornering my eyes. It slipped my mind, damn it.
"I'll never get out of this, will I?" I chuckle to myself, shaking my head. "Fine. I'm going back."
"Listen," A hand tugs on the sleeve of my medical gown. "I know it's been tough on you. But all of that'll be over once, too." The look he sends my way is almost pitiful but I manage to tuck down my outburst.
"It doesn't look like it. Jungkook's never gonna let me go."
"I know he's very stubborn." Jimin begins to say. "I understand you more than anyone, but he'll warm up, trust me. Just don't go against him."
"Because you're family. We protect family." The thought made me show a bitter smile. "As long as me and Jungkook are here, nothing's gonna happen to you."
"If we exclude the times he is this close to sending a bullet through me." I place my thumb and index finger to a small distance in between.
"He wouldn't press the trigger for nothing, trust me."
Maybe not, but what happens when he goes wild and the only thing that's on his mind is destroy anything and everyone that's in his way.
"Just," I hesitate, averting my eyes elsewhere. "Don't tell Jungkook about this. Please."
He delivers a reassuring nod, and I let my mouth slip into a grateful smile before I walk off, rounding a corner to enter a patients' room.
