"This is Veraline Young."

Tita Rica pointed at the familiar face beside her. I nodded in response.

Ngayon ay ako naman ang ipinakilala niya. "My dear Vera. This is my one and only niece, Renesme Daine Javier."

Inilahad niya ang kamay sa akin at tinanggap ko naman iyon. She looks pretty in magazines but she's definitely prettier in real life. Nakakaliit ng self esteem. She also looked very mature. I'm guessing she's already in her late 20s.

Curvy and Morena is how I can describe her. Maikli at kulot ang buhok niya na pinagmumukha siyang fierce at malakas ang sex appeal. Malayong malayo sa akin dahil maputi ako, petite at mahaba ang buhok.

I tried to bring back my curves like before pero hindi ko na iyon naibalik ng tuluyan. I'm guessing this is my real body frame. Baby fats lang talaga iyong taba ko noon. Tuloy at mukha akong mabait kahit na malayo iyon sa totoong ako. I'm the perfect definition of looks can be deceiving.

"Hello, Renesme. It's nice to finally meet you! I mean, i've heard a lot about you! Talaga palang maganda ka! I welcome you in the industry." Nakangiti niyang sabi.

"Thank you Vera. Anyway, just call me Red." Kaswal kong sagot.

Tumango siya, "Oh, okay. See you around Red."

Nagpaalam din siya agad saka nagmamadaling dumiretso sa meeting room kasama iyong P.A. niya.

"What do you think about her?" Tita Rica asked me.

"She's okay." Maikling sagot ko.

"What else?" Tanong pa ni Tita.

I raised a brow at her. "What do you want to hear from me, Tita."

"Huh? Wala, iha! I'm just asking you." I guess i'll disregard the fact that she sounds defensive.

Sa halos limang taon ko sa industriyang ito ay alam ko na ang kalakaran. You can never tell who's real or not. Mahirap ang labanan kaya mayroon talagang mga tao na susubok hilahin ka pababa. And therefore, you always have to put your guards up and be vigilant. Never trust easily.

Tita Rica have always reminded me that since then kaya tumatak na iyon sa isip ko. What confuses me now is why she's asking me this weird questions. It was as if that Girl isn't her talent.

"Okay, then. Stop asking me, Tita. I'm not really interested in her and I know that you already know that."

Matagal ko na siyang nakikita at hindi talaga ako interesado sa kaniya. That explains why she was only introduced to me now. Bakit naman kasi ako magiging interesado sa kaniya kung wala naman akong kailangan, hindi ba?

Bumuntong hininga ako at tiningnan muna ang sarili sa salamin. "I have to go, Tita. I have a tight schedule."

"For Vogue?" She asked, trying to remember the schedule.
