Part 25 Luz's Night-Time Terror

It was now very late at night, so late that some people may even say that it was early, Eda and Lily had long since had there showers and gone to bed.

"Why can't I just sleep" Luz groaned knowing that she was probably the only one awake. "I have so many thoughts on my mind right now but no switch off button". Sighing deeply she decided to make her way to the bathroom. "how can night change a familiar place to an unsettling one so easily -" hm I'll never know"the last part she verbalised. Carefully she entered the bathroom and flicked at the light that failed to turn on. Moving her fringe from out her face luz bent down to drink some tap water it was much too dark to go downstairs and if the power wasn't working very well then there was no way she would venture down own there. After splashing a bit of water on her sweating forehead Luz peered up at herself in the mirror, she was filled with dread as if her blood had ran cold and then hot again. It was that 'thing' that dreadful version of herself leaning against the boiler pipes on the wall in the corner of the bathroom with a wide unnatural smile on her face. Luz turned around quicker than a bullet can hit it's target. To find nothing insight she turned back to the mirror afraid with her head bent firmly down seeing nothing was the best option in Luz's mind. She found some courage deep down inside of her to look up - there was nothing there. Luz put her head down again as if it was the only time she'd allow herself to breathe, only this time the sight was worse she looked up to see that villain walking towards her so close it's hand was on her shoulder it passed through her body and for a final time she looked at that mirror to see a bright yellow light glyph as her eye ball. Luz's shaken voice was loud enough to be heard throughout the owl house and possibly the whole area around it. Bursting in Eda and Lilith made themselves immediately

Lilith and Eda- WHAT'S WRONG?!?!
Luz- IT'S IN MY EYE! THE GLYPH! THE GLYPH HAS TAKEN MY EYE.

Lilith and Eda gestured Luz to come closer to thoroughly check her eyes yet there was nothing to be seen. The bright yellow glyph eye was gone.

Luz- the glyph was in my left eye I saw it!
Eda- Is this about what you saw yesterday?
Luz- yeah but the glyph was in my right eye last time what does all of this mean?
Lilith-It means that you are still very shaken by what you have seen and your memory is reflecting that. Are you sure that this wasn't just because you were half asleep.
Luz- I remember that image very well and I was fully awake.
Eda- It wasn't real that Azura wannabe creature just showed you a reality that it knew you wouldn't want to see.
Luz- What if the eye changing position is just because of a changing timeline or... A curse.
Eda- Luz don't start scaring yourself I don't think that low-level creature is even capable of such a feat.
Lilith- hmmm well.. It might be possible, oh but! Don't worry we can check you for curses tommorow.
Luz- but I need to know now it's important.
Lilith- yes and we understand that but getting sleep will make you better.
Eda- come on I will walk you back to your room.

Eda walked Luz back to her room and then spoke to Lilith privately

Lilith -What if she is cursed?
Eda- What if she isn't?

Lilith seemed a little taken back by Eda's question and then she understood.

Lilith- If she isn't then there's no magic that we can use to help her, but I know what can.
Eda-  you aren't suggesting that again are you?
Lilith- She is human Edalyn A human being she isn't meant to handle magic that's the reason why it's hard to make in there world. She should go home. I know that you like to believe that anyone can be whatever they want or that they have the right to be but in situations like this maybe it's best. Just think about it ok? For her sake.
Eda- ok...

Eda was led to think about it for the rest of the night until the suns first rays hit the house.
