Part 26 Our King Of Spies

Luz walked down the stairs remembering what happened last night, the idea that she was cursed frightened her but what scared her even more was thinking about how it was a huge set back how was she gonna help Amity if she couldn't even help herself.

Eda lilith and Luz sat around the table all their arms were either folded or placed firmly on the table.

Eda- Look Luz your're a human you see.
Luz- Um Yeah... You already knew that?

Lilith sighed at her sisters failed attempt to start a serious conversation but she let Eda try anyway.

Eda- And the point is... The 'Human' world is where you should probably be because.. Well is obviously for humans.

Lilith placed her hand on her head and looked down as if she really couldn't believe her sister was having so much trouble trying to explain something simple.

Lilith- I... No we believe you should go back to the human realm this isn't safe for you and that uncident the other day proves that. But don't worry we will make sure Amity returns to normal.

Luz- after everything That I have done to get her back I am not giving up here.

Eda- Look she has given you her answer lilith let's just let her stay.

Lilith- What side are you on? You know Luz going home is the safest option.

Luz- I have one question, am I or am I not cursed.

Lilith and Eda looked at each other

Lilith- we don't think so, you should be ok as long as you can go home now and remain in one piece.

Eda- (snorting with laughter) 'one piece' where did that come from did you read some kids adventure book and quote if from there.

Lilith- stop being ridiculous Edalyn we have bigger things to think about than silly jokes from you.

Scratching came from behind the knew front door and loud high pitched screams were being slightly muffled.

Eda- King?

Lilith- wait isn't he the one who became a leading member under Amity?

Eda- What? No he joined as a recruit to spy on their plans.

Lilith- that's surprisingly smart I didn't expect that from him.

Eda- oh he is full of surprises, he always seems to attract crowds too haha he calls Them his 'Minions' Infact I wouldn't be surprised if he collected some along the way.

Luz- should we let him in? but what if it is someone I disguise?

Eda- I am sure everything will be fine relax don't turn into a prissy paranoid loser like Lilith.

Lilith- Excuse me! I am grounded and level headed, a quality you could only dream of.

Eda opened the door still wiping away tears of laughter after making fun of lilith

king was wearing a long dress made from leaves and vines, there was also a small crowd of woodland creatures standing tall behind him.

Eda- I called It I Knew he would end up doing something like this. I honestly just find it amusing. Welcome back king what information do you have for us?

King-I don't give info away for free.
Eda- No but I give punches away for free.

Luz- woah woah let's please calm down and make a sensible deal no punches will be thrown (looking at Eda) and no large deals will be made (looking at king).

King- I want 3 20 minute backscratches and 4 demon naps every 2 days.

There was a long silence before his army of 16 and members of the owl house bursted into to fits of giggles and laughter lilith dropped her staff and covered her mouth as her hand slid down the door frame which she was using for support. All of the animals fell to the ground and Eda sounded as if she was choking.

Luz on the other hand took king very seriously realising that him being laughed at and ignored was the reason for Hooty Owlbert and himself going on the trip. Luz also knew that any inside knowledge would be valuable. Slowly Luz had flashes of the future that she had seen. This is the right thing to do she thought.

The still humiliated King asked if anyone excepted his deal.

Eda-It's such a bad offer that I am gonn-

Luz- I accept In return for those valuable notes and information you have been collecting.

King's sad face was turned into an authoritative smile.

King- cough cough I knew you would expect my respectable offer.

As king and Luz walked into the owl house everyone else stood still gob smacked.

Eda- she's more mature then she used to be when she first arrived on the boiling Isles.

Lilith- If she's mature then she is more like me than you.

Eda- No she does it in a different way then you. A better way.
