Part 54 Celebration Time

Luz and Lilith walked back to the owl house half the day had already gone by at this point, Luz was mostly cold and soaked in thick isles tar and if she was honest she would say about how tired all the walking had made her, not to mention how much of a time waste she felt she'd been put through.

Just as she was about to walk through the door it swung open and many familiar faces smiled at her.

Gus- suprise! I brought and made the cake.

Luz- wow what is all of this for.

Em- It's obviously for you we heard that your leaving the Isles again sometime soon.

Ed- We wanted a goodbye party.

Luz rushed over to every single one of them and hugged them all.

Luz- You didn't have to go through all this.

Amity- But we wanted to make this special, because your special to us.

Amity stroked Luz's face in her hand.

And then pulled her forward into a hug even tighter.

Eda- The kid was probably expecting a kiss ha ha.

Both Luz and Amity looked away from eachother blushing deeply everyone laughed. At the sight of their two tomato red friends

Lilith- Edalyn there's no need to embarrass them.

Eda- too bad I already have.

Ed- When is that cool motorbike guy gonna get here with Reika.

King- I wouldn't put cool with hooty together but I'm sure he'll be here any moment now.

No more than a few moments later hooty swung is head around the door and skidded his wheels leaving black marks everywhere Reika was riding her own bike.

Hooty- Hooty hooty reporting for duty and winning every bike race in he Isles.

Reika- That's the third time already right, you really do need to teach me how to drift like that-

After realising the disturbance they had caused Reika and Hooty quietly apologised which was quite a new habit for the both of them.

Amity- Oh Luz I almost forgot your patch.

Amity handed Luz a cloth revealing a nicely made purple patch with the light glyph itself sewn on in yellow.

Luz- This is beautiful thank you very much.

Amity- Oh it wasn't just me Willow helped me do the sewing.

Willow looked up and then smiled wide at Amity she walked over closer to them feeling happy and very much included.

Eda- Alright cake time.

Gus looked at his hands.

Gus- Um where has it gone.

All that can be heard around the was someone stuffing their face with food. The culprit was Ed who managed to speak a few words in between burps and eating.

Ed- Sorry did ypu want to share.

Gus's  eyes began to twitch.

Gus- Did. You. just. eat. all. of. my. cake?

Edric was trying to stand up wiping all the crumbs and icing from of his hands and stained clothes.

Luz walked past Reika, hooty, king and the others to get in front.

Luz- Hey Gus, It's ok we can always get or make another cake.

Gus  smiled widely and jumped up and down.

Gus- I was secretly hoping this would happen. I mean MY cake someone actually would steal and eat a cake that I made.

Em- Honestly Ed would Eat any kind if food, I wouldn't take it as a compliment.

Ed- But It was soo good the icing the texture of the cake everything was perfect.

Gus- You really think so?

Luz walked to Amity.

Luz- Welll I'm glad that went well the last thing I. Would want is for there to be an argument among my favourite people.

Amity- So where were we?

Luz- Where were we when?

Amity- You know before Eda told us about Lilith needing to talk to you.

A flash of realisation hit Luz's face.

Luz- Oh I'm picking up what you're putting down.

Amity- I'm not putting anything down.

Luz- a typical case of Deja vu. But any way that doesn't matter.

Luz leaned in to Amity holding her face slightly to the side.

Hooty- HEY LUZ!!!!

Luz- Gahhhuh HOOTY!

Hooty- Me and Reika have some riding to do but We've both left you our own notes for you to read when you leave the Isles.

Reika- I just wanted to say... Well I've never met a human like you before or anyone really you've got a certain sense about you. Well take as you want but it's been great to meet you. The other things I have to say are all in the letter.

Luz- Yeah well I take that certain sense thing as a compliment, why not right? and I doubted you at first but you really did help us alot thank you.

Reika- no thank you your the ones who helped me. Well I guess. We'll be off this is the last time I am probably ever going to see any of you so goodbye.

Reika pushed off and skidded off into the distance along with Hooty who's head was bobbing manically with the wind.

Luz- If I'm already missing them... I don't know how I'm gonna to feel letting you go too.

Amity- I don't know what I am going to with out you either, hopefully bot waste another 2 years on pointless magic.

Amity and Luz started to giggle. The others waved them over.

Gus- let the party continue!
