Part 51 Kinda Equal Sort Of Exchange

The only thing that could be heard around the house was Luz's chalk as she tried to draw a perfect circle on the ground.

Luz dusted of her hands and held her chin.

Luz- ok these elements are very similar to what makes a human except a magical trigger is needed.

She put her hand over her heart and then jumped up a few times into the air.

Luz- Ami is gonna be so happy when she finds out she has her own body. All elements are in the pot, now all I need is that good old light glyph magical trigger and Here. We. Go!

Luz rubbed her eyes coughed a little and slammed her hands to the centre and then to the side triggering all individual circles. Her hands were firmly plastered to the ground as a miniature storm whipped and wailed around the room a rift in the air appeared and slowly Amity's soul was being removed from Luz's body and placed inside of a clay like mixture that was slowly forming a person.

Luz felt a pain in her right eye it was  slowly ebbing away like wood chips as it flew into the rift Luz wailed and rolled around clutching the circular glyph where her eye once was.

Eda, Lilith, King and Owlbet squeezed their way into the room as they frantically ran into eachother. The sight they saw was unbelievable.

Amity's new body was being slowly constructed as they spoke and Luz was still trying her best to keep her other hand on the circle she couldn't let the spell reset itself.

Eda- KID THIS IS WAY TOO DANGEROUS I AM PUTTING A STOP TO THIS RIGHT NOW.

Luz- NO JUST GIVE ME TIME PLEASE.

Lilith- NO THAT'S QUITE ENOUGH.

Eda and Lilith sent shock waves of magic Luz's way Amity's head was almost Done forming it was only the middle of her face that needed to be healed together.

The wave sent Luz flying into the wall and Amity's body dropped to the ground a wide open wound was on her face.

After the rift had rushed out of existence and the storm had died down Lilith rushed over to take care of Amity and Eda did the same for Luz.

Eda- What on the Isles were you thinking?!

Lilith- Spells like that are absolutely deadly equivalent exchange means giving something away of equal value, you could of given away a vital human organ for a spell that you weren't even sure would work.

King- Luz why would you do that?

Eda- Luz your eye... It's completely gone.

Lilith held her hand to her mouth. Noticing the glyph that replaced Luz's pupil and the rest of her eye.

Slowy Luz began to sweat as she fully removed her hand away from her eye. As strange as the hole was no longer bleeding.

Luz- I Did this because Amity needs a body it's been a while now since I've been back home my.. Mom she wants me back and Amity can't go to the human realm especially without a body. I don't even know when I will go back but as soon as Mami sees the message I sent her she's going to want me back.

Eda- Listen no matter how you look at it this was a bad idea, I mean in the middle of the night with no one else out there to help? if things went wrong you wouldn't have any kind of back up plan.

Luz- I'm sorry.

King- Wow by the way Luz I know I should be mad and all about you waking us up but.. that glyph eye looks so cool you look like a true demon!

Eda nudged king with her foot.

Lilith was still furious

Lilith- There is absolutely nothing cool about this situation at all.

Luz- How is my mom going to handle seeing me with a missing eye? will it completely disappear in the human realm? will I be able to see properly from now on?

Lilith- These are the sorts of questions you should of thought about before. Magic is about intentions and mastery how you think that you can just pick up a couple of books and work magic so easily is beyond me.

Eda pulled a nervous face and looked Amity's way.

Eda- You should stich up her face before she wakes up that's looks painful.

Luz tried to stand up but her depth perseption was more than just a little off.

Eda placed her hand on her own head.

Eda- Well once I'm awake I find it really hard to go back to sleep looks like the rest of the night is gonna be spent staying up.

Luz was annoyed with herself it was an instant regret moment but if she stopped the spell midway in her mind it was a waste.

Luz- Ok leave this to me I am gonna take care of her, I put us into this mess so I need to help.

Luz walked over to Amity and put her head onto her lap and began to stroke her hair softly.

Eda- OK now listen to me that was probably one of the most reckless undeniably ridiculous stunts you have ever pulled even by my standards... But that was a pretty high level spell and I am kinda jealous you were able to figure that out in one night. How many circles did you draw.

Luz- Just 3 it balances the spell out nicely and puts energy into all the components.

Eda- Huh.. Well ay I never thought about that before balancing out huh? who would of knew.

Lilith- For goodness sakes Edalyn you are far too soft on her this could of been absolutely catastrophic this is just like when she ran into the field of spells. Death. Death we could have died.

Eda coughed and made a serious voice.

Eda- Ok well in that case I guess you are grounded from using spells until I say so.

Luz- Really?

Eda- Yes really.

Lilith- Ok now I need to tend to Amity's injuries a bit of healing magic should do.

Lilith healed Her but the long thin scar still remained.

Amity starts to grunt and wake up.
