Shit, you're so screwed, Nikita.

"Thank you! I'm honored to be here. Please enjoy your lunch. I'll take turns to meet each of you," he says.

Everyone goes back to eating, and I'm about to take my seat when Nini, ahem.. Mr. Kim comes up to me.

"Niki? I didn’t realize you worked here!" he says with wide eyes.

"You think you're surprised?"

"Ms. Khan! Stop taking up so much of Mr. Kim's time. He has more important matters to attend to," Boss snaps in-between us.

"Actually, it was me who wished to speak to Niki. So, no, I don't have more important matters to attend to," he tells to boss.

Boss stares wide-eyed, "Y-you've met?"

I smile, "We did!"

..And by 'met', I mean 'kissed.'

He turns to boss, "You're Lee Soo-Man, right?"

"Yes, Sir!" Boss offers a handshake.

He accepts it, "It's wonderful to meet you, Mr. Lee. The board mentioned you specifically as a top team member of this company."

"That's such an honour, Sir!" Boss exclaims.

"I've also glanced over the spreadsheet of accounts data you sent earlier. I must say, it was one of the cleanest works I've ever seen."

Hang on..I just finished one of those. Could he be talking about..??

"An accounts data spreadsheet? Do you mean the one for the last month?" I ask.

He smiles, "That's the one. It's so well-organized."

Before I can tell him the truth, boss cuts me off, "It feels nice to be recognized for my work."

"Niki you're lucky to have such a great mentor," Nini says looking at me.

"Nikita still has a lot to learn. I took a chance on her. But, hopefully, with my guidance, she'll become a productive member of this company," Boss says.

Okay, THAT'S ENOUGH.

"Listen up, bastard, HOW DARE YOU?!" I growl.

"Excuse me?!" Boss says politely.

"Niki? Is something wrong?" Nini asks.

"Just ignore her, Mr. Kim. She has always had a temper. I've figured out the best way to deal with it, is not to encourage her to continue," Boss quickly tries to turn him back.

I snarl, "LIAR! It was me who made that accounts data spreadsheet, not him!"

Nini frowns, "Mr. Lee, is it true?"

Boss gasps, "What do you mean if is it true, sir! Of course it's not true at all! Niki's making things up because she resents me."

I growl, "Shut the fuck up, the only one making things up here is you, Lee Soo-Man!"

"Enough! If you don't shut your mouth and leave me and Mr. Kim alone now, you're gonna be fired!"

Something inside of me snaps. My hands ball up into fists. I feel myself start to shake.

"You know what? I've had enough of this! When you first hired me, you promised me that I'd be doing things like raising money for charity and helping teams bond! Well, it's been three fucking years. And I've done nothing like that! Not even once! Instead, I've dedicated literal thousands of hours of my short life to deal with your bullshit!"

I pause and without a second thought, I flip the buffet table. The table is surprisingly light,  even with all the food on top. Or maybe it's just that my blood is pumping from rage! Food flies everywhere, it's beautiful.

Nini sighs, "Mr. Lee, tell me, what company owed us the most last month?"

He gets nervous, nervously silent.

Nini looks back at me, "I see. Tell me, Niki."

"The Busan Co. They still owe us 2.9 billion won for the ball," I answer.

"Exactly, Mr. Lee Soo-Man, pack your things. You're officially dismissed," Nini announces.

Ha, how you like that? I grin at him.

"You can't be serious!" he gasps, ignoring me and looking directly at Nini.

"You've got time to pack up until  the end of the day."

Suck it, bitch. Have fun being unemployed.

I grin, "Goodbye, ex-boss, this office is gonna be so much more quieter and better without you."

Nini sighs, "Perhaps so, Ms. Khan, but you won't be around to see it."

"Say what?" I frown.

Nini makes a strict face, with not a hint of a single similarity to what I saw on him the whole evening yesterday.

"In the fifteen minutes since I arrived at the office, you have sworn loudly in front of the CEO, taunted your former boss and flipped an entire buffet. While I do regret letting someone with such strong accounting skills go, I expect my employees to maintain a basic level of professionalism. It's clear to me that you, of all people, don't meet those standards."

"But-"

"My decision is final. Ms. Khan, you're fired. And you’ve got until the end of the day to pack your things and leave. Please."

Boss glares at me, "Nice going, idiot! You got us both fired. Happy now?"

"Screw you, bastard! As much as I hate losing my job, at least you'll never ever get to demean me again," I slap him on the face. Everyone in the room gasps. Oof.. So satisfying.

I grab my bag and stomp toward the exit. Before I leave, I turn and look Kim Jongin right in the eyes.

"And screw you too, Mr. Kim!"

I slam the door on their faces on my way out.

I'm barely able to breath again, until I'm outside, sitting on a bench. I think, and think.

Was it a foolish move? I just screwed up my damn life, didn’t I? But whatever I did back there, that felt good to do though. What am I gonna do now?

My eyes suddenly light up at a sudden idea.

Yes, that felt good, but guess what's going to feel even better?

I pull out my phone and look up a number. Luckily, Siyaah had me made a database with contact info for all her guests.

"Hello Luhan? This is Nikita. Does that wedding planner offer still stand?"
