The hostess seems to agree with Piyuu on that note. She nods, "Thank you so much for handling him. If this lasted any longer, I'm pretty sure that I would've lost my mind completely!" she says.
"Ah, it was no problem at all. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that. Must be so hard to be a hostess, huh?" I smile at her comfortingly.
"Really, thank you for being so understanding. In fact, it's not even that uncommon here actually," she says with a dreadful look in her eyes. The next moment she stretches her hand for a handshake, "The name's Wendy, by the way, and you?"
I take her hand, "Niki, and this is my friend Piyuu."
She smiles brightly and shakes hands with Piyuu too, "Now, what can I help you guys with?" she asks.
"I'm actually looking to book your event room for a bridal shower. For this upcoming saturday?" I tell her.
She nods and then starts to flip through the pages of the book in her hand. Suddenly, a frown appears in her face.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Niki. Someone else has already reserved the room for that entire day," she says with disappointment.
"Perhaps you can book on Friday or Sunday? Actually let me check.." she quickly runs through the pages again. "You can take any day this week other than Saturday. What do you say?" she asks.
"Holy crap, Nini said that it had to be that day specifically," I hiss out.
"Oh no, what should we do now?" Piyuu says with a frown.
"I apologize earnestly. Ever since we had royalty stay here, we've been booked months in advance. If you need a specific date, you must book at least a month before. I'm really sorry!" she says.
Shit, shit, shit, I'm so totally screwed. This was my one last chance.
"Wait! Actually, you guys are the nicest clients I've ever met, so I could do a little favour. But hey, it'd be a really small one-"
I stop her before she can finish, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I yell and jump to hug her. This has been a long timr coming. I had to resist a lot to not jump on Nini.
"Okay, okay, but listen to me. I can vacant a smaller side of the room that day. You know, by applying tricks on my boss. This place can seat up to twenty people actually. Are you fine with that?" she asks.
"That'd be perfect! I mean, in the sense that out exact number of invitation is twenty people. I don’t know what'd we do if someone extra shows up, but, THAT'D BE PERFECT THANK YOU SO MUCH WENDY!" I yell.
It's not the grand event room like Nini wanted it to be. But, hey, something's always far better than nothing. I'll make it work. Besides, the event room is too huge even for thirty people. If I can make this work, it'd show what I'm capable of.
"Wonderful, then. Let me just get your informations down.." she says and looks down to the paper, spliting a receipt.
Step one: Saving my job, complete.

I spend the next day planning games and activities for the bridal shower. And that day, I meet back up with Piyuu at a little theater off-broadway.
"Okay, so, remind me what we're doing here again?" she wiggles her eyebrows.
I chuckle, "We're doing just a little bit of investigating. I need to know what Aria's favourite food is, but I don't want to be too obvious by asking, you know? Like why the fuck would a wedding planner need to know this detail? Surely, because she has some surprise planned ahead that obviously has something to do with one of the wedding events."
I gesture to the building, "Apparently, this is where she worked so I'm just hoping that we'll find a colleague or friend who can be of help because her brother totally wasn’t. So, let's see if I can pick their brains about it, to have an idea about what she generally liked to eat."
"Wow!" Piyuu's eyes widens "That's actually very impressive and clandestine of you!" she says.
I smirk, "Of course it is. A good wedding planner knows how to do her detective work."
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Soon, we get inside the theater and take in all the art revolving around it.
"Woah, this is literally so damn cool. I can't believe Aria worked here!" I gasp.
Piyuu chuckles, "Uh oh, don't tell me you're planning another career change again."
I shake my head grinning, "I'm barely even handling my first career change. Let's just pump the brakes on that."
Actually, that's not a ton of action going on in here. Where the fuck is everyone?
"Hey there, can I help you guys with something?"
Ooh, a mystery voice from the shadow. Absolutely my most favourite thing in the world!
I turn my head to see a girl looking at us very awkwardly.
"Excuse me, but this is a closed dress reharsal. But if you want to see the show, I'll request you to come back next week, please," she says.
"Ow, so sorry! We're not trying to spy on the show, I swear!" I assure her. "You wouldn’t happen to know Kim Aria, would you? I'm actually planning her wedding and I need some help from her friends.."
"Oh my gosh, of course I know Aria! I'm Dolly, I'm one of her colleagues and closest friend too," she exclaims, "What help do you need? Ask me anything, and I actually mean anything!"
Wow, that didn't take too long. Bless you, Dolly, for not making me work as a secret FBI officer lurking to spy on a show of theater.
"That's wonderful! Can we take a seat somewhere and talk this through? I'll be grateful," I tell her.
