"You forgot, but that's okay. Don't worry. We're good. It hasn’t been long so they should be able to survive. Just...maybe go over there now!"
She hangs up the call before I get a chance to protest.
Why do I feel like I'm being tricked?
I quickly get dressed up and head to Siyaah's apartment.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I enter Siyaah's apartment to discover...everything is totally normal? Did Siyaah really just want me to water her plants after all? Better get to it.
I'm almost done with the last one when I accidentally elbow a remote control sitting on the coffee table. It lands on the floor with a far too loud thud.
There's this expensive looking doggo. And by the looks of it, it's not happy with those noises that I made.
"Easy there," I say hurriedly. It seems to calm down realizing that I mean no harm. But the same can't be said about the man that comes running after it.
"Stop, thief! You don't want to mess with me,!" he growls.
"Wait, Sehun. It's just me, Niki. I came to water the plants. Don't attack me, I can't survive that."
"Oh..Hi Niki," he embarassedly steps back.
"So, Sehun, you've been staying here since they left?" I ask.
"Yup. I'm wondering why Siyaah didn’t just ask me to water the plants? It would've been no trouble," he rolls his eyes.
"I..think she had some ulterior motives," I say.
"What motive?" he raises an eyebrow.
"I don't know, maybe she was trying to play matchmaker?" I wink.
"Match? You and me? I shouldn’t be surprised knowing how idiot she is but that's a whole new level of stupidity," he rolls his eyes.
"Ah, well. Excuse my attempt on flirting. She probably just told me to do this because you can't remember anything for God sake" I imitate his expression of annoyance.
"You know what? Fuck you," he growls.
"Fuck you too," I smirk.
"Now excuse me, I need to take Vivi on a walk," he says.
"Oh, this dog?" I ask.
"Yes, want to join?" he asks boredly.
"You're asking me to accompany you!" I ask surprisedly.
"Yes, I'm doing formality. Say no and get the fuck out so I can lock the door and go," he rolls his eyes.
"In that case, I'm definitely going!" I say.
"You're annoying," he groans.
Vivi practically jumps out of its fur.
"Thank you, but Vivi seems to appreciate my company alot," I laugh.
"Oh, well, that's true actually. Fine, let me just get this baby on a leash" Sehun tells me. We both head to the dog park as Vivi sits on Sehun's lap.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
It's a wonderful weather outside. So basically, it seems like everyone has brought their dogs to the park today.
"This way, Vivi," Sehun smiles at the dog. Okay, this isn’t the first time that this dude is tryna chat with a dog but well, whatever.
We suddenly hear a man shouting from behind.
"WAIT YEONTAN, DONT SIT IN-"
The pup plops himself down in a puddle and starts to roll around.
"..that."
Yeontan runs off, flinging mud everywhere. And forcing that poor owner to chase after it. Sehun and I start cracking up.
"You love dogs, don't you?" I ask Sehun.
"I generally love all animals. Anything that's not a human is amazing. Vivi is special but to be honest, I can't think of an animal that I don't love," he says.
"What about the fragile ones? Raccoons? Or a wolf?" I chuckle.
"I love wolves," he says.
"Oh, but you wouldn’t want to pet it, right?" I say laughingly.
"I'd of course pet it if I can. Have you seen a wolf pup? The way it responds when you ruffle it, isn’t it really cute?"
"I'm sorry but I've got no such experiences. Sehun, you’ve surely got an unique taste on pets. Let's just focus on Vivi now, I mean..something that's not so fragile?" I say with my jaw dropped.
"I wish Vivi was a wolf. Dogs are a bit boring," Sehun says.
Vivi looks up at Sehun and me with literal and metaphorical puppy dog eyes.
"Don't worry, you're still my most favourite," Sehun ruffles its hair "You want a treat, don't you? How about you earn it?"
Wow, he's again in deep conversations with his dog. I whisper to him, "Does Vivi know any tricks?"
He nods, "Yep. Watch this."
He steps closer to Vivi and does a finger motion and it starts to roll over. Then he blasts two short whistles and Vivi stands in two feet, shaking its tail. Then he holds up a treat for Vivi, and Vivi scarfs it down with glee.
"It's impressive!" I say. Sehun nods.
"Like owner like pet. He's also the most handsome dog that you’ve ever seen," Sehun says.
"Ah, yes. He's adorable!" I say.
"Handsome, it is," Sehun corrects me then looks down to another dog nearby "Oh, hey Sunho!"
Well, it does seem like the dog understands him. He bounds up to Vivi and sniffs it. Vivi barks back at it.
"Sunho and Vivi are bestfriends. Sunho belongs to one of the park attendants, so it's here most of the time. Vivi and Sunho absolutely loves to play together. Here, watch this," Sehun grabs a stick and throws it very far.
Both dogs run for it. Sunho gets it first, but Vivi gets grabs the other end and tries to yank it out of her mouth. Sehun grins excitedly looking at them play.
"It's nice to know that you can smile, Sehun" I laugh. He rolls his eyes.
After a while, Sunho returns, slightly more muddy and tired then when I saw last. I look over and see Vivi with the stick.
"Ready to go?" Sehun chuckles at Vivi.
"Bye Niki, don't run into me the next time you need to water the plants, please" he says.
I roll my eyes, "Goodbye Vivi!" Ruffling Vivi's head, I leave.
