At first, when you asked if I wanted to do partnership, I was freaking out!" she exclaims.
"Really?" I gasp. Why'd anyone freak out about it? Did I intimidate her? If I'm being honest, I'm as intimidating as a squirrel, if you ask me. But I suppose I do have a pretty bad case of RBF sometimes.
She nods, "Yes! I was trying so hard to play cool about it. But inside, I was terrified that I'll mess it up with you, which I don't want to. I just get so nervous and awkward and you're the only person I could really count in as a friend so-"
I slow her down, Piyuu, you never have to worry about messing anything up with me. I suck at making friends and I think that you’re wonderful. I like spending time with you and I'm not going to break our friendship just for some silly reasons like this. There's nothing wrong with being nervous. You'll find out soon that I'm the most nervous human being on the surface of the earth. So you don’t need to be afraid that I, of all people, am going to judge you for it."
"Thank you so much, Niki. It really helps a lot to have a shoulder to back me up!" she says.
I chuckle, "Alright, miss butterfly, let's go, we've still got a lot more convention to see."
"Agreed! Let's go get you more cake," Piyuu says.
"You're officially my most favourite person ever!" I say.
Like that, we spend the rest of the evening discovering different booths and making connections. And yes, I've got a pretty good amount of chances to taste cakes as well. The rest of the evening goes swiftly and smoothly.

The next morning, I'm brushing my teeth in the hotel bathroom when Piyuu sticks her head in.
"Good morniiiing! Are you ready to strut your stuff down the runway?" she exclaims with overflowing energy and excitement, but all I can reply is mmbbbbfbf?
Take out the toothbrush first, Niki.
"I'm sorry but what are you talking about?" I mumble in my sleepy voice, tired from last evening. I wonder how she's so fresh.
Piyuu gasps, "You didn’t forget that you agreed to model one of my wedding dresses for the fashion show, did you?"
Oops.
How am I supposed to tell her that I actually forgot? I think I should just go like Pardon me, your majesty, I don't actually have a brain.
Shit, Niki. How the fuck did you manage to forget something that you were talking about just yesterday to the G-Dragon?
"It's okay, I can understand you forgot. No need to try making excuses. We still have time, alright?" Piyuu says.
And with that, begins a literal messy and clueless start to my modelling career.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
It's 9 a.m. Saturday morning. And I'm still wondering that why the fuck did I agree to model Piyuu's dress for this crazy fashion show.
"Is my hair okay? My hair always gets frizzy at this time of the year," my panicking voice all over the room. But let's be honest, not just this time of the year, but every other time of the year.
"Oh, don't worry about it sweetheart. You’re gonna be absolutely amazing and I've got the dress all ready to go!"
Piyuu unfolds a dress and spreads it over my body, holding it and showing me in the mirror.
Okay, I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything but I know Piyuu. And knowing the kind of dresses she usually makes, this one's really, really plain. It's still good, but just to state the obvious, it's supposed to be a wedding dress. But it's clearly a bridesmaid dress. I know simplicity is modest but it's way too simple. I'm not hating, I just feel like it. And Piyuu's looking at me really expectantly right now.
"Piyuu, it's not what I was expecting to be honest. Don’t get me wrong, it's absolutely pretty and all. But it's just that I thought I was modelling one of your wedding dresses and it doesn’t look like something like that, you know?" I whisper.
She nods, "Because it's not."
"It's not?" I frown.
She shakes her head, "No, it's not a wedding dress. It's, in fact, a bridesmaid dress. They're holding a section-B fashion show for cheaper rates and less-experienced designers. I think I'm going to sign up for that."
I palm my face and lean on the couch, "Seriously, Piyuu? Why'd you do that?"
"Isn't that obvious?" she pouts, "I'm not feeling confident enough to participate in the main event! I did bring a wedding dress with me and then I looked at it and wondered, what if no one likes it? What if people see it and immediately hate it? Am I gonna make a fool of myself by presenting my inexperienced ass to such a glorious and huge event by my work? Gosh, I'm nervous Niki!" she flops down on the couch next to me with a groan.
I turn my head to Piyuu and hold her hands on mine,"Look, chances like this don’t always come. You’re getting a really rare chance to showcase your work out to a huge level. You should think of how to go with your best work ever and not something even more basic than what you do. If you aim higher, you'll at least achieve some of it. And if you keep your aim low, you won't achieve anything. Just think, what if we miss potential business contacts for chickening out or fail to make strong impressions that we're capable of making? Come on!"
She shakes her head, "I guess you've got a point but-"
"Come on, Piyuu! At least show me the dress? I'll be the judge of how terrible it is and what kind of hate comments will people make," I laugh.
She giggles, "Okay, okay, wait.." she goes out of the room.
