"You too, loves! Come again!" Gahyeon waves us a goodbye and so do we before moving forward.
Piyuu and I start moving again, but I feel a little pep in my step after that.
"Wow, she had some crazy level of energy going on!" Piyuu comments. I'm beginning to wonder if that's a requirement for the wedding planners. If so, I need to get my lazy ass moving.
"Ooh!" Piyuu points at another booth, "Look at that booth! Is it of rings? Let's go!"
I really like how Piyuu's really enjoying it. Would you believe it's the same girl who was terrified and looking for a map a few minutes ago?
We both rush forward to the booth of wedding rings. Well, mostly I follow her and try to keep pace with her.
"Hello there, are you in the market for one of a kind wedding bands? Or perhaps looking for some for your clients?" the guy hosting the vendor asks.
"No, not at this moment, unfortunately. We're just poking around. I'm Niki and this is my business partner Piyuu," I bow to him.
He bows back, "I'm Suga. And perhaps you’d still like to take a look at my wares? They're all handcrafted and extremely unique."
"Wow, they're all really beautiful!" Piyuu gasps.
"Many people consider the ring to be the single most important aspect of a wedding. So it needs to be as unique as the love of the couple," he says.
"You’re right! I never thought about it in this way before," Piyuu responds.
"What ring someone chooses is a window to their souls. Like this one, what type of bride do you guys think might pick this ring? It's an unsual shape and stone, but that doesn’t diminish it's beauty," he raises an eyebrow.
Hmmm..
"I think the bride that'd pick this wedding ring is adventurous. Because, you see, it's not your typical diamond ring, but it's still really gorgeous. A bride who went for that ring would be a little adventurous and thus, not afraid to do it away with the tradition!" I say this just to sound like a genius but did I jump too far to a conclusion? Please don't mess it up, Niki. Please don't.
"Excellent! Very good. You clearly understand this business better than most people," he reaches his hands down to his pant's pocket. May I expect another network?
"If any of your clients are ever looking for wedding bands, I hope that you’ll keep me in your mind," he says. Yes, yes, yes! Three contacts already! You’re slaying it like a champ, Niki!
Now, to be honest, I could also look at the rings all day but I know that we've to keep moving. If I sacrificed cake for this mission, some beautiful-looking finger bands are nothing.
"This is going so well! You're so good at handling business! You're networking skills came in handy," Piyuu says.
I shake my head, "You could say luck really favored us today. It really helps that everyone's been super great so far."
"This is so fun!" Piyuu jumps a bit like a kid, "I'm feeling really positive about this!"
"Well, that's all that matters, right?" I tell her and we both start enjoying our mission again.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I'm walking along, minding my own business when Piyuu almost wrenches my arms out of its socket. Whoa, this tiny little girl's so strong, remind me to never get in her bad side.
"Is that..G-Dragon?!" Piyuu hisses and squeals at the same time and it sounds like a rollercoaster of emotions that I'm not capable to handle.
I look the way her eyes are staring and almost popping out at.
Oh, wow..
"
Yep, it looks like it is," I say with wide eyes. I know G-Dragon was supposed to be a guest on some event, that's what Taemin told me. But I didn’t expect it'd be this event. We live in a small world, don't we? And at this point, I think I'm living a dream-life.
"I..can't..feel..my..legs.." Piyuu mumbles, this girl's almost running out of breath. Do we need oxygen supply?
"I take it you're a fan of him?" I smile.
"Fan is a very big understatement! G-DRAGON IS MY IDOL, MY LIFE!" Piyuu squeals. Oh, boy..
I feel like Piyuu's no longer capable of forming a situation and it's kind of painful to watch her try but she's smiling wide, "Did you know that the finger-heart gesture originated and got trending among the k-pop idols from him? And do you know he was the first one to come up with the idea of a lightstick and VIP lightstick is the first ever k-pop lightstick? And, oh my god, do you know he's the entitled King of K-pop?"
Okay, I got it, I'm looking at the number one fan-girl of G-dragon, whom he definitely deserves to know.
"Piyuu, you know what? You should go over there and introduce yourself to him!" I say.
"No, no, no, no! I'm too afraid! I'll probably choke on my own spit or something like that and, and die!" she hisses.
It might sound like an exaggeration but honestly, I believe her. But it's not everyday that you walk into your idol, right? She might not get another chance like this ever again in her life.
"Are you sure? He's standing right here.." I say.
"Okay, okay, I'm doing it," she takes a deep breath.
"Yes!" I yell.
I honestly didn’t expect her to do it but surprisingly, she actually starts to walk in that direction, but quickly turns around her heel and practically sprints back to me.
"Nope, nope, no way! G-Dragon's too amazing and famous to want to talk to someone like me.." she sighs.
Do I seriously need to convince this girl to talk to her idol right now? Are you kidding me? Well, I guess I'm doing it.
