"Maybe not. But it's also unwise for me to have judged you by what I saw because it was only half-truth, judging by this isn't seeing this from a neutral perspective," he says.
He's all so dashing and amazing when he speaks all that. And I realize for a moment that why he's the CEO of such a huge industry at such a young age.
"So, I think, in this case, you deserve a second chance," he says, turning his gaze on me. I know he's right but his determination to make me stay kind of startles me. So I play along.
"And you're just giving it to me? What's the catch?" I frown, posing all serious.
"I already told you. The catch is if you can't pull this off, I'll find someone else who can!" he growls. Nah, this guy isn’t going to speak his mind this fast. But I know I'll figure it out soon.
"Niki? Are you even listening to me?" his voice startles me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, sir!" I pose a salute. He rolls his eyes. Wait, why am I saluting? What the fuck is wrong with me?
"I'll take care of getting Aria there on time and also formulating an excuse as for why she has to be there. But I need you to book the restaurant and figure out what kind of food she'd want, because I haven’t got a clue," he says.
Slow down there, he doesn’t know what the favourite food of his own sister is?!
"This needs to be her dream bridal shower. If you think you're not up to it, I need you to tell me now. I want to be clear and I won't repeat this again, this is your last chance, Niki," he growls. Oh gawwwd. Isn't this the billionth time I'm hearing this?
"No no, I can do it! Just tell me what you need me to do. I won't let you down this time!" I hurrily tell him.
At least, I hope I won't.

The next day, I'm at Siyaah's house to water her plants when I meet up with Vivi.
..and of course, his owner.
Sehun is sitting on the floor with Vivi on his lap while I'm pacing, having just a teensy bit of a mental breakdown.
"Excuse me, you're distracting Vivi and my game. Can you stop running on circles and be stable for a fucking second?" Sehun growls at me. If it was another time, I would've shouted back at him and also reminded him how he didn't own this place. But I'm going through enough anxiety already. Not in a mood to shout. He won't give a fuck anyways.
"I'm sorry for the distraction. I'm just..so worried about the workload. I have a lot to do to get ready, and if I don't get it all done, I'm going to be unemployed," I groan in frustration.
"Okay, why don't you run down the list of what you have to do? Like, list it all down and sort it out. Oh, wait, why'd you even think of that? You're lowkey idiot," he rolls his eyes.
I groan in anger. He's such a jerk! But wait, let's try this out.
I nod, "Well, I need to book the restaurant, get a head count, get invitations sent out, make sure there's enough food, order Aria's favourite food, find out what her favourite food even is, fold a bunch of paper flowers, buy the rest of the decorations, set up the music-"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa.. That's a lot to do!" A familiar voice startles me from the back.
Piyuu?!
I stare at her wide-eyed "You here, Piyuu? Oh my god, did something go wrong with the clothings? Please say no, I don't know what to do and how-"
"Calm down, calm down. Everything's fine. I was just passing by and realized you said your friend's house is here. So I thought to meet you for a while," she turns her gaze at Sehun, who looks so irritated for no good reason, of course, "..if that's alright for me to come here?" Piyuu asks.
"Oh of course, it is. You're always welcome, love. Don't mind that jerk-face. He doesn’t own this place either," I assure her, scoffing at Sehun. He rolls his eyes oh-so-disgustedly.
"No, no, that's absolutely not the first thought that came to my mind," she drops her voice to a whisper, leaning close to me so that only I can hear, "Actually I was thinking he's the hottest guy I've ever seen." she winks.
Ooh, juicy guicy.
She clears her throat and raises her voice to a normal tone, "So..let's talk about this, why're you overwhelmed with this extent of workload all of a sudden?"
"Well, my most favourite smug face just derived the responsibility of a whole bridal shower planning upon me. Like, everything!"
"The whole bridal shower? Single-handedly? That's pretty crazy! Why wouldn’t he hire an assistant?" she says in a surprised voice.
"Well, you remember yesterday? I kind of screwed it all up and was at the edge of losing my job. He just gave me an opportunity to fix it all up and save my job," I tell her.
"Okay, I get it. But at this cost? It's super hard, man. And the time period is extremely short as well!" she exclaims.
"I know right? And if, by some chance, I don't get it done in time, I can kiss this job goodbye," I sigh heavily.
"Can you both shut the fuck up or like, go inside? I'm so sick of listening to all these wedding dramas," Sehun yells yet again.
I roll my eyes, "Yeah, yeah, got it. Piyuu, come with me, we'll go inside," I tell her but she's deeply engrossed in watching Sehun.
"Hey! You came to meet me, not him!" I yell, loud enough for Sehun to hear. He turns at us.
