Chapter 20: Valentine's Day

                   It's Valentine's Day! It's a holiday Wynonna isn't up for since Jasper's gone. But she is four months pregnant now, so there's that. Wynonna is thrilled to be having a baby.

             Every day, her stomach grows as the baby grows. And each time she looks at her bare pregnant belly in her door mirror, a smile forms on her face. She emailed a belly picture to Esme, for Jasper and Rosalie. She does still think the world of Jasper, but she won't be easy to forgive him for leaving if he ever returns.

               Wynonna dresses in a red long sleeved shirt that hugs her - showing off her belly -, some black maternity skinny jeans, a pair of black flats, and the leather jacket Leah for her for her nineteenth birthday. She brushes her hair before she dresses her valentines, her kids, Nigel and Eliza Ryder.

            They all go out to Sam and Emily's, Eliza runs in and she begins playing with Claire, Emily's niece. Emily gives Wynonna a hug before Sam does the same. Nigel sits on the couch with Jared and watches tv intently. It's a documentary on wolves.

             Paul walks in with Rachel Black, his imprint. When Wyn learned that he imprinted, she was glad she didn't date him. She'd have been heartbroken. Rachel knows that Wyn's baby is Paul's and was concierge director before Rachel even came to town and was imprinted on the Paul. She is very accepting of both Wynonna and the baby. Plus, she adores Eliza and she gets along with Nigel.

             "Hey, Wyn!" Rachel greets.

           Wynonna hugs the girl. "Hey, Rach." Wyn looks at Paul. "Paul."

          "Wynnie," Paul muses. "How's the baby?"

         "Good, hiccups but good," Wynonna replies as she slips her jacket off. "Dressed up amd no date. Ugh!"

               "I'll be your date, mom," Nigel says innocently, making Rachel awe at him verbally.

           "Very well, kind sir," Wynonna says and she sees Eliza sitting on Sam's lap, piddling with his fingers. "Em, Eliza stole your fiancée, I believe."

          Emily chuckles when she sees them. "You're right."

         Sam smirks at them and he looks at Eliza. "Em, when are we going to have one?"

         "As soon as I read a positive test," Emily replies and she goes to the kitchen.

           "It takes time," Wyn says. "It was a miracle I got pregnant after the first try."

               Paul snorts. "I'm just that good, Wynnie."

         "Uh huh, you know I'm better," Wynonna jokes and even Rachel laughs.

           "Sam, you got Eliza?" Wynonna asks. "I guess I have a date."

             Sam smiles. "I got her."

           Wynonna leaves with her son then.
