Chapter 24: Gender Reveal

There is a big box in the Uley/Young back yard. It's a brown cardboard box with blue and paper polka dots on it. Along with blue and pink ribbons tied into a bow on top. There's a black heart in the center with Boy or Girl written in white.

Everyone is in their respectable team T-shirts as they stand around outside, listening to kid music. Wynonna is in her blue T-shirt with team Mustcache on the front and some maternity jeans with some black vans. She is talking to Kim, who is also in blue.

Paul glares down at the pink shirt on him before he looks at all the others in link shirts who are with him, team girl. Team lashes. He glances at Wyn in her blue shirt as she beams at Jared now, who is posing like a diva in his pink shirt that fits him smugly.

            Nigel is sitting with Eliza, both in blue shirts. Paul smiles at Wynonna's other two kids and he looks aroijd some more. Charlie is talking to Harry and Billy, Leah is sitting with Billy Black and her brother, Seth, and Rachel. Jacob is standing with Bella, who Wyn has yet to even pay attention to.

              "Alright!" Emily boasts as she leaves the house with a knife. "Paul, Wynonna, come on over here to the box."

          Wyn and Paul walk to the middle of the yard and Emily hands Wyn the knife. Paul gulps when he sees the excitement in her eyes, making Embry snicker a little bit. Wynonna cuts the tape on top of the large Boy or Girl box.

             When the top flabs open, a dozen blue balloons emerge and they float into the air. Wynonna tears up as she stares at the blue balloons as everyone else cheers, Paul laughs with a genuinely happy smile.

           "It's a boy!" Sam's deep voice yells. "Congrats, Paul and Wynonna."

           Rachel kisses Paul on the lips lovingly. "Congrats, baby."

         "Thanks," Paul says with a blush.

          Jared embraces Wynonna and he kisses the top of her head. "Congrats, Wyn, it's a boy."

           "I have a name," Wynonna speaks up over the cheers and loud talking, everyone shits up. "Adam," she says amd Nigel smiles. "After my father."

           "Adam Enrique, after both our fathers," Paul states. "Adam Enrique Ryder."

            The cheering starts again and Charlie walks over. He hugs his niece and he leaves her with Bella. Wynonna gets the its a boy sonogram picture from Emily and she goes to the Cullen mansion.

            Wyn walks up to Jasper's bedroom and she sits in the floor with the music box she left out. She opens it she the one hundred year old lullaby plays. She sees the other ultrasound pictures she left. She lays the latest one in there and she leans back against the wall, feeling Adam move around slightly as a tear slips from her eyes.
