It's Wynonna's favorite time of day; dawn. She left the kids with Emily this morning before she rode caught a ride on Jared's wolf to the clearing.
The Cullens all look over as the wolves come over the embankment. Wyn climbs off the pack beta and she walks over to the coven and she pulls Bella off to the side. Emmett's eyes meet Paul's, recognizing him - the both of them itching for a rematch from the woods of on the night of the chase.
"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms," Edward tells Carlisle, translating Sam's thoughts.
"They came," Carlisle assures his son. "That's what matters... Will you translate?"
Edward nods in approval and Sam moves forward. Edward greets Jacob, welcoming him as Wyn stands beside Bella.
"Jasper has experience with newborns," Carlisle begins. "He'll teach us how to defeat them."
"They want to know how 'newborns' differ from us," Edward translates.
"They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood lingers in their tissues," Carlisle explains. "Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first several months of this life."
Jasper takes a step forward, and Wynonna sits on a fallen tree to watch her handsome boyfriend take control. She remembers him mentioning he was a major, in control. Wyn is kind of heating up thinking about it.
"Wynonna, watch your thoughts, please," Edward grimaces. "I don't need that image on my head."
"Sorry," Wynonna claims with a smug grin.
"Carlisle's right," Jasper claims, trying not to wonder what Wyn was thinking. "That's why they're created. A newborn army doesn't need thousands like a human army, but no human army can stand against them. The most important things to remember are, first... Never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly. And secondly... Never go got them obvious kill. They'll be expecting that. And you will lose."
The pack didn't like hearing the word lose, low growls erupt from each wolf.
"Emmett?" Jasper looks at the bigger, blood hungry vampire, and they walk toward the center of the clearing. "Don't hold back."
"Not in my nature," Emmett replies, and he charges at Jasper.
Wynonna and Bella watch in awe at Emmett's Jeep as the training goes on. Wynonna wanders over to the embankment and she sits with the eager wolves.
Each wolf is pacing and rising, laying, they're too eager and energized to relax and just... watch. They're wanting to join in and get in on the fray. But each one is holding back as Sam watches the training between the vampires happen intently.
When the training is over for the day, Wyn goes back to La Push with Sam to get her kids from his and Emily's place. They head on back home to Forks, and Wyn begins cooking some food for them all. Some lunch, because they told Emily they'd eat what their mom cooked, which Emily thought was just plain adorable.
Wynonna haves ham and cheese sandwiches for the kids, cutting them into different shapes. A dinosaur shape for Nigel, and a heart shape for Eliza. She makes herself a simple PB&J sandwich and cuts the crusts off.
