It's been a month since the Cullens returned; and Nigel has been following Jasper around everywhere once jasper came over and Nigel won't let him leave in fear he will disappear. Eliza has spent a couple day's with Esme and Rosalie, who were excited to see the toddler again.
Seth and Leah phased and imprinted. Seth imprinted on Eliza, and Leah imprinted on Nigel. Which is sweet, so Wynonna didn't bitch either one of them out. They can't control the imprint, it just... happens. Like with Paul and Rachel, Jared, and Kim, Sam and Emily. Now Seth and Eliza, Leah and Nigel.
Wynonna is sitting at Charlie's right now, Jasper has decided to watch Nigel at his house so that the coven can see him. It's nearly four and Bella's been out with Edward since they been back. Wyn has still yet to speak to her.
"Four o'clock on the dot," Charlie says as Bella walks into the house, studying the papers he's been looking at. "Does he have a stopwatch or something?"
"He has a name," Bella says. "And now he's too punctual for you?"
"Wait a second, will ya?" Charlie asks as his daughter heads towards the stairs. "Sit down."
Bella pauses for a moment and she walks over to the free dining chair. She looks at her father with a dull look, she's upset she's been grounded. And still is.
"Okay... you understand why you're being punished, right?" Charlie asks.
"I know, I put you through hell," Bella replies.
"Yes, you did," Charlie claims. "But I have two other reasons for grounding you. One, for what you did with Nigel and horrifying the kid, and two.... I just want you to get some separation from him."
"Dad, there's nothing you can say," Bella states. "Edward is in my life."
"Yeah, I'm gathering that," Charlie mutters as Wynonna goes to use the bathroom. "How about this? I'll make you a deal. You're not grounded anymore, if... you use your new found freedom... to see some of your other friends, too. Like... Jacob."
Bella's face darkens at the mention of Jacob's name. She remembers him doing the rational thing and trying to stop her from leaving. Bella hadn't cared about being rational or not. She had to save her Edward, the love of her life.
"He's going through a really tough time right now," Charlie adds, "his dad's really worried about him."
Bella feels her stomach clench painfully. She didn't know Jacob was feeling like this, and it hurts to hear it from her father.
"I remember when it was you," Charlie claims. "You needed a friend. Jake was there."
Wynonna heads home when she finishes using the bathroom and she finds Jasper sitting on the floor while Eliza walks in circles around him and Nigel is sitting at the coffee table, doing some some social studies homework.
Jasper looks up at the sound of the door open and he smiles slightly when he spots Wynonna. She hasn't spoken much to him within the past month, but he knows she's coming around. It's the longing looks they exchange that tells him that she still likes him, but he also knows how much he messed up.
"Jas," Nigel speaks up when Wyn brings Eliza upstairs for a bath. "Are you hunting tonight?"
"Yeah," Jasper replies. "I have to."
"I want to watch you hunt one time," Nigel confesses as he begins to draw something for Jasper on black construction paper like he did Wynonna's.
"Maybe, if your mom ever forgives me," Jasper replies.
"She will," Nigel says and he hands him the picture.
It's of Jasper and a pregnant Wynonna, Nigel, and Eliza. Jasper and Wynonna's stick figures are facing each other with extended arms, the kids are smiling behind Jasper
"Thank you, sir," Jasper muses. "Tell your mom I'm headed home, I'll hang this on my fridge."
Nigel nods and he watches as Jasper leaves, and then his mom enters. "Mom, forgive Jasper. I want him to be my dad."
Wynonna grabs her laptop after sending Nigel to bed. She goes to Jasper's Skype name and she hesitates with the arrow above the call button until she finally does.
"Hello, ma'am," Jasper agrees as he answers and it appears he's in his kitchen. "This is pleasant surprise."
"Yeah, sorry," Wyn claims. "I would have came over there but I just got the kids to bed." She touches here stomach as Adam moves around.
"What's going on?" Jasper asks her as he takes a seat on one of the stools near the counter. "What's wrong?"
"I want to forgive you," Wynonna claims and Jasper's eyes brighten. "Nigel wanted me too, actually, and I actually agree. I'm not ready to just jump back into a relationship, but I am ready to forgive you."
Jasper nods in understanding. "I get that, I understand. You need time, and I'm willing to give you just that, Wynonna."
They talk for a few more minutes until Wyn yawns real big. Jasper and Wynonna say their good nights and they hang up, and the human goes to bed.
