Chapter 41: The Call

((( 2 Weeks Later )))

Jasper holds Adam and he feeds him a bottle. The little baby is now two weeks old.

Over the last two weeks, things have been peaceful and quiet. Embry imprinted on Billy's oldest daughter, Rebecca. Nigel spends weekends at Charlie's because of Sue, or he stays at Sam's for Leah. Eliza is usually always at Charlie's for Seth or at home.

Wyn's phone begins to ring from upstairs and she jogs up when Jasper begins burping the baby. Wyn sees Bella's contact name and she grows concerned. She wouldn't call on her honey moon to the love of her life unless something's wrong.

"Bella, are you all right?" Wyn asks as she returns to the living room, where the others are.

"I'm not one hundred percent sure," Bella responds.

Alice grabs the phone after a vision. "What's wrong?" She asks urgently. "I just..."

"You just what, Alice?" Bella asks, not all surprised that the clairvoyant vampire took Wyn's phone. "What did you see?"

"Here's Carlisle," Alice says and she hands Wyn's phone to another vampire.

"Bella, what's going on?" Carlisle asks into the speaker as Emmett takes Adam, Rosalie smiles in amazement as her eyes fill with loving venom watching her mate hold a baby.

"I don't know. I'm a little worried," Bella claims. "Can vampires go into shock?"

"Has Edward been harmed?" Carlisle asks in concern.

"No," Bella replies. "I know it's impossible, hit o think I'm pregnant... Whoa! Carlisle, I swear, something just moved inside me."

"Is this even possible?" Edward's voice suddenly fills the line.

"I don't know," Carlisle replies. "The sooner vellas here, the sooner we can find out what it is. I need you to get to the mainland at once."
