Chapter 44: Wake up, Bella.

It's been three days since Bella died and Edward filled her with his venom, and it's now a waiting game. Renesme is growing every day. And as soon as Alice saw the engagement ring, she started in wedding plans. Wynonna will be a Hale in the matter of two weeks or less.

Everyone says their greetings to Bella as she enters the house; she actually woke up a while ago and Edward took her hunting first thing, which was smart. Rosalie turns around when Bella makes it to the end of the line of Cullens and Bella pauses when she sees Renesme.

Bella holds her daughter now and she looks at her in awe. Renesme touches Bella's cheek tenderly, showing Bella herself giving birth to her.

Bella's eyes widen. "What was that?"

        "She showed your turn first memory she has of you," Edward claims.

          "Showed me?" Bella asks, amazed. "How?"

         "How do I hear thoughts? How does Alice see the future?" Edward asks. "She's gifted."

          Bella looks at her daughter once more and she notices how much older she looks. "I've only been out for two days?"

        "Her growth rate is unprecedented," Carlisle claims as Bella continues holding Renesme.

           Jacob suddenly begins to grow protective over his imprint. "All right. That's enough experimenting for one day."

          "She's doing great," Wynonna coos from beside Jasper.

         "Yeah, let's not push it though."

         Bella raises an eyebrow at him. "What's your problem?"

         "Oh, do tell her, Jacob," Rosalie muses.

        "This should be good," Emmett comments from beside Rosalie.

        "Hold on," Wyn says and she hands Adam to Jasper and she takes Renesme from Bella's arms and she steps back.

         "Bella," Jacob's voice sounds desperate and pleading. "Look, it's a wolf thing."

         Bella cocks an eyebrow. "What's a wolf thing?"

      "Um..." Jacob stammers. "You know we have no control over it. We can't choose who it happens with. Amd it doesn't mean what you think, Bella."

          Wyn sees that it's taking a probably lethal turn, she tightens her grip on Nessie and she shoots her webs into the woods and she flies out. She lands in a tree and Renesme giggles loudly as she looks around the forest, a huge grin on her adorable face.

         Renesme then reaches her baby hand up and she places it on Wynonna's cheek. Wyn meets Nessie's eyes as she shows the first memory she has of her. Dragging Rosalie out of the delivery room, keeping her from feasting upon Bella's blood.

        Wynonna holds her precious new cousin as she looks around. She sees everyone looking for her and Renesme. Bella looks amused and Jacob looks like he's about to combust with concern.

           "Should we ease their mind or wait a while longer? Wyn asks and Renesme actually smirks, like Emmett. "Waiting it is, Ness."

             "I'm going with Edward and Alice," Bella says to Wyn, knowing she can hear. "Take care of her."

           "Will do," Wynonna replies, no one knows where she and Renesme are.

         Wyn leans against the trunk of the tree and Nessie rests her head against Wynonna's chest.
