In Between Worlds

Narrator- Chelsea comes home to find Ada in the living room waiting with all the lights off. She figured that she could come back home late because of their agreement. Chelsea is frightened by Ada starring her in the eyes as soon as she spots her.
Chelsea- "I'm sorry ma, we went for a walk and before we knew it the street lights were on."
Ada- "It's fine. I just wanted to stay up to make sure you got back safe."
Narrator- Chelsea proceeds to walk to her room but Ada calls her name.
Ada- "Chelsea baby, i need to have a talk with you."
Chelsea- "What's wrong?"
Ada- "Umm... so you said yes?"
Chelsea- "Why wouldn't i? Jaden and i are a family now."
Ada- "I understand why you're saying that but just because y'all have a baby together doesn't mean y'all will be together forever."
Chelsea- "Well, you and my dad are still together."
Ada- "Yes we are but it hasn't been just a smooth sailing ship. We've had our ups and downs. We didn't marry too soon either."
Chelsea- "Well what are you trying to say?"
Ada- "I know that you love Jaden and you think he's the one for you. However, that doesn't mean that y'all will be together for ever. Baby girl, I'm telling you this before you decide to make a very poor decision.
Chelsea- "Ma, we're in love and he's the one for me."
Ada- "You haven't even had the chance to be with other guys. How will things be when he decides that he wants to cheat again? Do you remember how he was with another girl while you were pregnant?"
Chelsea- "Ma, why are you bringing up old stuff. We haven't been having any problems."
Ada- "Listen to me clearly, he will cheat on you again. Once a cheater, always a cheater. These men say one thing and do another. I wont stop you from marrying him but you should just hear me out."
Chelsea- "I love you mama but I'm going to bed."
*Chelsea's thoughts*
I get an uneasy feeling when i am reminded on how Jaden use to cheat on me. I love Jaden with everything in me.I want to be with him for our daughter. I couldn't stop tossing and turning in my sleep thinking about what my mama said to me. What if Jaden does go back to his old ways? What if i get married and decide that I'm not happy with Jaden anymore? My mother was right about me not having the experience to be with anybody else. I haven't dated anyone else except for Jaden. How do i know if he's the one if i haven't been with anybody else? When i woke up the same questions linger in my head. I start to feel indifferent about the engagement.
Narrator- Brandon goes to Princess house to apologize to her. He knocks on the door and she instantly answers.
Princess- "What do you want? Let me guess you're here to lie to me again."
Brandon- "I'm sorry baby. I should have been honest with you about Jaden's sister."
Princess- "If you were in love with her just say that."
Brandon- "I-i was lusting her. I didn't even talk to her long enough to have any real feelings for her. It all ended quickly because she had a boyfriend. After like a week or so we just stopped communication with each other. It was over as soon as it began. It was never a relationship. We literally was just hanging out."
Princess- "How did you even meet her?"
Brandon- "I went into my mom's closet looking for the shoe box with Jaden's mom's name on it but couldn't find it. Then as i was leaving out i seen an old baby picture from Jaden's mom with Jada's name on it."
Princess- "So why didn't you just tell Jaden? You know how suspect you sound for talking to his sister."
Brandon- "I know... my plan was to befriend her to see if it was actually his sister. Can you please promise me you won't tell Jaden?"
Princess- "I'm not promising you anything. You really need to tell him because if he finds out from someone else he'll probably be upset."
Brandon- "I know It's been on my conscious."
