The Reality of Our Lives

Birth 🤱🏽

Narrator- "Jaden is asleep in the living room and Chelsea calls him over the phone because she isn't feeling well. Jaden comes to the room thinking it's because of her feet.
Jaden- "Grabs Chelsea's feet*
Chelsea- "What the hell are you doing?"
Jaden- "I'm rubbing your feet. Isn't it hurting?"
Chelsea- "No it's not my feet. I feel like I'm having contractions."
Jaden- "How do you know that you're having contractions?"
Chelsea- "Jaden, i don't fucking know I'm just hurting real bad."
Jaden- "Well let me rub your belly."
Chelsea- *slaps Jaden's hand* "That's not going to fucking help."
Jaden- "Well my bad. I'll go get you some cranberry juice."
Chelsea-*starts crying and getting frustrated* "I'm hurting so bad."
Jaden-*hands Chelsea the juice* "Here drink this."
Chelsea- *throws juice on jaden* "I said I'm hurting."
Jaden- "Ok you want to go see a doctor?"
Chelsea- "Yes!"
Jaden- "Let me go change my clothes and I'll call Shakira over."
Chelsea- "Help me put my shoes on."
Jaden- *helps her put her shoes on* "Do you think the baby is coming today?"
Chelsea- "I don't know Jay!"
Jaden- "Dang, well let me stop asking you questions."
Chelsea- "You're getting on my nerves. I already told you that i don't feel good."
Jaden- "Did you pee on yourself? If you did it's okay i can help you wash up and change."
Chelsea- "I didn't pee on myself. Omg how did i get this wet."
Jaden- "Did your water break?"
Chelsea- "I don't know this is my first pregnancy."
Jaden- "Yeah we need to get you to a doctor. "
Narrator- Jaden calls Shakira and lets her know that Chelsea is in pain and her water broke. Shakira rushes over and to pick Chelsea and Jaden up. They make it to the hospital and the nurses puts Chelsea in a wheelchair to wheel her to the third floor. Chelsea's pain gets more intense and now she's crying and screaming.
Shakira- "You ready to be a father Jaden?"
Jaden- "Yes."
*Jaden's thoughts*
The whole time i was thinking that i was ready to be a father but i honestly didn't know. Time was passing by so fast and i hadn't had time to think that I'm actually going to be father. My main focus was to be able to provide for my child and I'm doing that. I kept thinking about my mother again. I was thinking about how sweet it would have been for her to meet my daughter. I'm very broken-hearted that my mother isn't here to experience her first grandchild being born. I want to give my daughter the world but  i felt like i can't because her grandmother is no longer with us. I just imagine that she's looking down on us smiling.
Narrator- Chelsea finally gets inside of the labor and delivery room and she calms down a minute. The doctor asks if she wants medicine to ease the pain, she quickly accepts. The doctor tells everyone that the Chelsea dilated seven centimeters and that the baby is on its' way. Chelsea calms down even more after the medicine kicks in. Jaden is looking at her and reinsuring her that she's beautiful and everything is going to be ok. Chelsea looks around to see that it's just Jaden and Shakira surrounding her. She's always pictured her mother would be in he delivery room. She was more at ease knowing she was wasn't here because she know how she'd make her feel uncomfortable. Chelsea's contractions starts to get more intense. Jaden tells her to grab his hand and to breathe in and out like the nurses are telling her. The anesthesiologist walk into the room to give Chelsea the epidural. Jaden watches the long needle go in her back and looks horrified. The anesthesiologist asks her if she can feel her legs and she replies no. After a couple of minutes Chelsea calms all the way down. Jaden leans toward Chelsea and kisses her on the forehead. Chelsea is too busy trying to fall asleep. Shakira looks at Jaden smiling because she can see how mature he has grown in these last months. Chelsea awakes when she feels like she has go to the bathroom. The nurse walks in and tells her it's just pressure of the baby making its way out.  She checks to see if she has dilated any more and sees that Chelsea is now ten centimeters. All of the people start entering the room because Chelsea is now ready to push. Jaden gets nervous as he holds Chelsea's hands while she's pushing. Five minutes into the push Jaden sees a head come out with a lot of hair. He is overfilled with tears of joy when Janiya finally makes her way out. The baby starts crying and the doctor hands Jaden the tool to cut off the umbilical cord. Jaden cuts it and waits for the doctor to get the baby weight and measurements. Once the doctor is finished, the doctor hands the baby to Chelsea to have skin to skin contact. Shakira looks at the baby and starts taking a lot of pictures of them. She congratulates them and watches the nursery take Janiya to the back to be cleaned.
Jaden- "Chelsea, you really are brave. I can't believe you did that." *has tears in his eyes*
Chelsea- *starts crying* "I miss her already."
Shakira- "Yes Chelsea you did an amazing job. She's so beautiful y'all oh my. I guess I'm finally a grandmother."
Narrator- After two hours the nursery brings Janiya back into the room all cleaned up with clothes on. The nurse hands Chelsea, Janiya. Shakira and Jaden crowd around her to see the baby. She's as flawless as a baby doll.
Shakira- "She looks just like you Jaden. Dang Chelsea you must couldn't stand him while you were pregnant."
Chelsea- "I'm in love with her. I think I'm ready now to go now."
Shakira- "Not just yet ma'am you have to stay for a few days so they can make sure you and the baby or good."
Jaden- "Can i please hold her now?"
Chelsea- *hands Jaden, Janiya* "Be careful."
Jaden- *sits down in the chair while holding the baby* "She's so tiny oh my. I don't want to hurt her."
Shakira- "Sit still with her and you'll be fine. I'm getting y'all picture."
*Jaden's thoughts*
This moment is so surreal. I never thought I'd be able to hold my baby after the beef with Hurk. I thank God for allowing me to look into my baby girl's eyes.
