We had gotten a lot of weird looks while our carriage had come through the town, I mean, why wouldn't we, everyone walking around in nice clothes and beautiful houses everywhere. Then you see us, in our beaten up carriage and dirty clothes.

We got out of the carriage and walked up to the castle doors. I don't know why, but I hid behind James when the guard asked us what our business was.

"My name is Lewis, king of Crather, we were attacked on our way here," said Ava and James's father. "Very well then, the king has been waiting for you, go down the corridor and enter the door on your right," the guard replied "but," he continued "the girl will have to stay,", he pointed his finger at me.

"I also have an appointment with the king," I said while rolling up the sleeve on my right arm to show him the mark of the scroll guardian. He stared at me in shock, "very well then," the guard said sheepishly, James's father stared at me in shock, I couldn't help but do a light smile.

It wasn't long before we had reached the throne room. We were led through two red wood doors with silver handles. I felt James squeezing my hand. It was obvious that he was in fact kinda scared.

The king of Roch entered the room, I quickly bowed. James and Ava swiftly bowed as well. "Oh please, there's no need to bow," the King of Roch said, "in fact, it is I who should be bowing to you,", he then walked down towards me and bowed, I promptly bowed back. "I am Owin, king of roch, and I am honoured to finally meet you," He said to me.

"The honour is mine," I replied. King Lewis was still speechless, it was kind of hard not to at least smirk. "Well then," King Owin continued, "if you will excuse me, I must speak to King Lewis about a few royal matters,". "It's ok, I can wait," I said.

"GUARDS," king owin called, "please escort our special guests to another room, make sure that they are given fresh food, water and some clean clothes ready for the banquet tonight,". "We thank you for your hospitality," I said politely.
