I had somehow managed to carry all four children to the healing post where Ava, Lucinda and Calib were treating multiple soldiers and civilians, some had major injuries while others were barely alive. Ava had gasped and ran over to help the four children to the safety of the tent. Lucinda asked if I was okay, her eyes were filled with worry. I didn't blame her. My wings were a mess from all the fighting and there was blood dripping down my leg from when a Ravager had caught me with its talons, not to mention that my face was covered in dirt and there were severe burn marks covering both my arms. The burn marks were from my fire, I had found out the hard way that there was a limit to how long my body could resist the heat.
"Are you ok," Lucinda asked me, she guided me to one of the many log benches that had been set up around the place and started treating my wounds. I winced as she begun cleaning the deep cut on my leg.
"Im fine," I lied, "hows Calib,"
Lucinda stopped cleaning my leg for a moment, she looked a bit hesitant.
"Well," I asked again, snapping her out of her train of thought.
"H-he keeps muttering i-in some sort of language," Lucinda answered.
I looked at her confused. I looked around and noticed that Calib was following Ava around and holding his hands out. I couldn't hear what he was saying but Ava kept turning to him and it looked like she was telling him no about something.
"What's he saying," I asked Lucinda, who had gone back to cleaning the cut.
Lucinda stopped again and looked at me.
"He keeps muttering these words, I can't say them how he's saying them," She said, "But it sounds something like 'gang ag scith', I think it means something but I'm not sure,"
I looked at her.
"Do you mean 'Glang auog scieth' " I asked.
Lucinda looked at me, her face shocked.
"Yeah that's it," she exclaimed loudly, "How do you know how to say it though,"
I wasn't listening, I waved at calib and he didn't hesitate to run over to me and almost tackle me in a hug. I recognised those words, it was a spell, performed for healing.
"Mummy," He shouted.
I smiled and held him closer for a moment before remembering the main reason I called him over.
"Glang auog scieth," Calib asked holding his hands towards me.
I nodded my head to say that he could. I notioned for Lucinda to back up a bit. Lucinda quickly stepped back and Calib placed his hands were my burns were.
"Glang auog scieth," Calib chanted, his eyes began to glow and symbols appeared along his arms. Lucinda just stare, her mouth open in shock.
"Glang auog scieth," He repeated, this time my burns, bruises and cuts started disappearing.
"Glang auog scieth," Calib chanted again, my wounds were almost completely gone now.
Calib chanted the incantation twice more and I was completely healed. He stepped back and smiled before skipping off to go and heal someone else.
"WHAT THE," Lucinda exclaimed, she stared at me.
I quickly explained to her that what Calib had been muttering was a healing spell. I remembered how that particular spell had been used to heal people back at the temple. It was a simple spell yet it could heal almost anything.
"Seems like you have some extra help," I finished.
Lucinda nodded.
"Hey, aren't they expecting you to help with the fight," She said. I knew she was right.
"Yep," I said, realising how long I had been sitting in the healing tent. I got up and headed to the entrance.
