We wove in between the houses and did a circle around the church of Roch before making our way across town and landing on top of the castle. We were both breathless. The flight had been harder because of my injured wing.
James looked at me and said, "that was amazing,". He then walked over to the edge of the castle roof and sat down with his legs hanging over the edge. I joined him. We were silent for a while before James said to me, "it must be amazing to be able to do that every day,".
I stared at the rising sun for a while before saying, "most of the time I only get to fly like that for a short time before The Ravagers find me again,". James looked at me, then looked at the rising sun.
"I guess I should thank you for showing me how it feels like to fly," he said before moving closer to me. I felt myself seizing up as he laid his hands on my shoulders and turned me so I was facing him. Before I knew it he leant in and I felt his lips come in contact with mine. I was shocked and my entire body froze for about a minute before I relaxed, and closed my eyes. For some reason I didn't want us to part, I just wanted to stay like this forever.
We stayed like that for a while before our lips parted and we both took a big breath, James then wrapped one arm around me and I leant my head against his shoulder.
