The forbidden Scroll (introductions and explanations)

King Owin stood up and tapped the side of his wine glass and said "may I have your attention please,".

 everyone went quiet and turned to listen to the king, "as we all know, we have some very important guests at the moment," I held my breath, "may I introduce Prince James of Crather, Princess Ava of Crather, King Lewis of crather," Owin said, the king of Crather, James and Ava each stood up and gave a small bow as their name was called, "and last but not least," king Owin continued, "the guardian of the forbidden scroll,".

The whole room went silent as everyone turned to look at me, I heard rumors being whispered around, wasn't the temple destroyed, how do we know that it's not a trick. I couldn't blame them for having doubts, the temple HAD been destroyed and there were now ravagers travelling and wreaking havoc across the land.

I stood up and said "look, I know that a few of you have heard a few rumours about the temple being destroyed, but I AM the guardian, I managed to get the scroll away to safety, I am the guardian whether I want to be or not,". 

"How do we know that you're not faking it,", A voice called from across the hall. I whipped my wings out to their full extent to show proof that I was the guardian, a few shocked gasps were heard. I tucked my wings back in and sat back down, more feasting and dancing followed quickly. 

During the night I had a few of the other kings and queens come up to me and ask questions, someone asked if my wings were painful sometimes, my reply was "only if I have to hide them for long periods of time,", I was also asked if I already had my wings before I was recruited to train to be a guardian, for that my reply was "no, they grew in over night when I got the scroll away from the ravagers, that is also when I became the official guardian,". 

There were a few questions that I couldn't answer though, like "aren't your parents worried about you, do you want me to send them a message to let them know that your safe,", those type of questions I had to answer with "that is classified information, and on a need to know basis". After about half an hour the questions had eased out and I had just answered the last one.
