The forbidden Scroll

Time to fight

I stood up and stepped away from Calib and Lucinda. I snapped open my wings and thrust them downwards, sending me up like a rocket. I did a quick surveillance loop around the area ands slanted my wings so that I could do a directional dive towards the main fight. 

I felt the wind whip through my hair as I approached the battle grounds. The once beautiful houses were in ruins and people who only days ago had been happily farming and going about their day, were now screaming and running in any which way, trying to avoid the ravagers. There was blood and dead bodies everywhere, both human and Ravager. 

I tilted my wings even more and sped straight toward a group of about ten ravagers and let out a massive burst of Flame that engulfed them and turned them to nothing but a burnt, unrecognisable mess. I quickly pulled out of the dive and turned and headed towards another group of ravagers, This group was about three strong.

I pulled my sword out of it's Sheaf and landed in a roll that sent me catapulting to my feet. The three ravagers turned towards me, their eyes were  bloodshot, they recognised me. I took no time and sped towards them. Two of them lunged towards me, I took no time in ducking and slicing their throats, They fell to the ground instantly. The third Ravager let out some sort of battle cry and started sprinting towards me.

"GIVE US THE SCROLL," It screeched, lunging for me. I quickly thrust my sword in front of me. The Ravager ran straight onto it. I pulled my sword out of the corpse and stepped back. I took a moment to catch my breath, I still wasn't use to using this much energy for fighting.

I turned around only to be met with another  ravager speeding towards me from the air. I gritted my teeth and Leaped into the air. I quickly dodged the Ravager and ignited my hands, sending a burst of fire at it's face. It screeched and  clawed at it's burning face as it fell towards the ground, it was quickly consumed by the flames. What I didn't see was yet another Ravager speeding towards me, I just managed to dodge it as it knocked my sword from my hand and sent it flying towards the ground below. The ravager halted and turned to me, there was no time to swoop down and grab my blade, this was going to be a free-style fight without weapons.
