I followed the blacksmith to the back of the workshop, there were a lot of tools, mallets, spokes, hammers and many others, there were also a few pointy one which I guessed were for engraving.
"Here it is," the blacksmith said while handing me a sword. It was beautiful, the weighting in the blade, the grip, everything about it was perfect. It was a katana with a silver blade. This was the sword that I wanted, Ava and James were still looking at the other one's in the first display room at the front of the shop.
"When will it be finished," I asked the Black smith, "well," he answered "I just have to finish engraving the eye onto the second dragon,". I flipped the sword over and saw a dragon engraved on the blade, it filled up pretty much the whole thing, it was engraved on both sides, except on one side it didn't have an eye. I handed it back to him and asked when I could pick it up, he said that it would be ready that afternoon. I reached for the coin pouch but he told me not to and that he was honoured that his sword would be carried by the guardian of the scroll. After that he led me back towards the front of the workshop.
When we got to the front, we walked in to see James face down on the floor and Ava sitting on his back with a rather triumphant look. They noticed us and the two of them stood up quickly, their face's were red with embarrassment.
They both apologised to the blacksmith and he said that it was fine as he didn't get many customers coming in, and when they DID come in, it was usually a quick, grab a sword, pay and leave situation. In fact he even laughed when we apologised for taking up his time.
I used some of my coins to buy two wooden training swords for Ava and James. After that we went on our way.
