The ravager swiped a clawed hand at me again and I just about dodged it. I wasn't going to be able to dodge forever, so I created a massive fireball and flung it at my attacker. The Ravager saw this coming and swiped at the ball of fire, reducing to nothing but smoke. I couldn't see through the thick smoke screen.
'Ok, not the smartest move for the situation,' I thought. I spun around because I heard a sound coming from somewhere within the wall of smoke. I tried beating my wings to clear the smoke, but it was thrown right back at me by the ravager. 'So,' I thought, 'this guy actually has a brain'.
Most of the other Ravagers I'd fought against had little to no strategy and were down right stupid, but this one was smart and had figured out how to use my fire against me. To be honest I was actually impressed by this Ravagers actions.
I heard the sound of swooping wings and had about half a milli-second to brace myself for impact as the Ravager came out of nowhere and rammed into my side, sending me shooting towards the ground and out of the smoke cloud.I felt myself losing control and struggling to pull out of the fall.
I finally managed to open my wings and swoop upwards and away from the ground. I beat my wings again and circled around my opponent, looking for a weak spot of any kind. That's when I noticed a massive scar on the ravagers eye. 'Why does that scar seem familiar' I thought, 'Wait a second...' My eyes widened as I realised why this Ravager was so familiar.
When the Ravagers had first attacked the temple, this was the one who had killed Killed Sir Erginiie after he had entrusted me with the scroll. This was the Ravager that had killed the first person who ever cared about me. I felt my blood boil. All of a sudden I wasn't in pain from all the bruises I had received from fighting, I could no longer feel my throat throbbing from inhaling so much smoke. All I felt was pure adrenaline and fury. I felt a strange sense of vengeance flowing through my blood. I reached for the scroll and let my fingers come in contact with it, I felt a surge of energy radiate through my body.
I tucked in my wings and dove straight at the Ravager, I swooped down, but it dodged. I was hurtling towards the ground at break-neck speeds. I quickly looped around, staying close to the ground. My sword was a few meters away, so, I reached my hand out and snatched it from the ground.
I Thrust my wings down and rocketed towards the Ravager, sword raised. The ravager turned to me, but it was too slow, I felt my blade come in contact with its body, my blade went all the way through its stomach. I allowed my momentum to carry forwards and drag us towards the ground. I tucked my wings even closer to my body and we shot towards the ground even faster than before.
I quickly snapped my wings open, causing my sword to come out of the Ravagers torso. The ravager shrieked as it plummeted to the ground. It thudded on the ground. I landed with a soft tap and swiftly drew my hands away from the scroll, I quickly made sure that the scroll was safe before concealing it back in my cape.
