The forbidden Scroll (the strangers)

Two kids, a boy and a girl about my age came around the corner. They looked as if they had been running for a while. They collapsed on the ground panting, "that was so lucky," said the girl, "yeah, what were those...THINGS ?" The boy replied, "Don't ask me, all I know is that they were dangerous and that we could have been killed," the girl said. After that it was silent as I watched them wander around the cave, "huh, looks like somebodys been here recently," the girl said to the boy, they appeared to be siblings, "your right, wait...," The boy replied, "Yeah," the girl asked, "if this was a recently lit fire doesn't that mean that whoever's stuff this is could still be here," the boy explained, silence filled the cave, my blood ran cold, i stayed as still as physically possible, I slipped and my foot sent a stone clattering across the ground. The two kids jumped in shock and surprise, I held my breath, not even a minute later the girl loudly said, "WHO'S THERE...WE KNOW YOUR IN HERE, COME OUT,", I had no choice, I slid the scroll off from around my neck and hid it behind some rocks and hid my wings before slowly standing up and saying, "who are you,". They whipped around, surprised, "why are you here," I asked. "Forgive us for intruding, but we were on our way to the kingdom of Roch when we were attacked by these...things," the girl explained, "who are YOU," she questioned,, "my name isn't important to you unless your here to try and assassinate me," I replied, the two of them were shocked.

A few hours later we were all sitting around the newly lit fire, we were all silent as we stared at one another, everyone on alert and cautious of the other person, they were cautious of me and I was cautious of them. It had gone on like this for a while, so I said, "so,...," they jumped in fright, "why are you hiding here when you're meant to be at the kingdom of Roch," I asked, "well..," the girl started, " we were on our way along the main route and suddenly we were attacked by these things that had creepy, like REALLY creepy, like REALLY REALL..." "ok ok I get it," I interupted "continue please," I said. "Well..," she said, "we were attacked by these...THINGS that had these really creepy demon-like wings and massive horns, I mean.. We were just minding our own business when they suddenly started swooping out of the sky and started full on attacking our carriage, before we knew it we were out of the carriage and our father is telling us to run as far and as fast as we could,". "We don't even know if he made it out alright," they both looked sad as she said that. "Well, it's getting dark, we should probably get to sleep," I said, breaking the silence "we have an early start in the morning if we wish to get to Roch before those THINGS start hunting,". After that we all went to our 'beds', they were just piles of leaves on the floor. After the the two of them were asleep I quietly got up and creeped over to where I had hidden the scroll earlier that day, I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that it was still safe and sound. I quickly grabbed it and hid it in a better place. I then crept back to my of 'bed'.
