"Aahhhh,", Me and Ava both dropped all the wood we had been collecting and ran towards the scream, it sounded like it had come from James. 

We came around the last bend to find James trying to put out multiple fires, He had been reaching out to the elements when we left to get firewood. "MORGEN, HOW DO I PUT OUT THESE FIRES," James yelled at me. 

After we had put out all the fires I turned to James and said "WHAT happened,". "Well," he stuttered "I-I was reaching out to the elements when I sorta-um-I-ah,". "Spit it out," I said. He breathed in and then said "I may have just CREATED those fires by accident,". My jaw literally dropped.

"wait, wait, WHAT," I was too shocked for words. It turns out that James had just connected with the fire element and had accidentally set fire to the surrounding plants. Ava was throwing question after question at james while all I could do is stand there in a shocked position. 

So I thought to myself it IS it possible to learn an elemental ability, at the temple we were always told that it would take too long and that no one had actually accomplished it. It was meant to be basically impossible. I finally managed to come out of my shocked trance, only to see Ava trying to whack James with a massive stick while trying to get him to answer all her questions.

 "Guys," they ignored me, "GUYS," that time they listened. "Ava," I said in a SEMI-calm voice, "put the log down and stop trying to whack James with it,". "Ooh, looks like someone's protective over my idiot of a brother," Ava suddenly said. James and I both stared at her. She was looking at us with a look that said EVERYTHING. I made a fireball and aimed it at her, my face had become a literal tomato. "Oh shit," she exclaimed and started running towards the pond that we had camped next to. I let her jump in, only then did I extinguish the fire ball which I hadn't realised I was still holding.
