I was lying down on my makeshift bed in the FPLA, it was still dark outside and I was fiddling with the ring on my finger. James's bed was right next to mine and he had rolled over during the night, his arms were around my waist, but I didn't mind. The sun was still low and I could only see the silhouette of the castle in the low morning light.
For some reason I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen, it was almost as if all of my fight or flight senses were on standby ready to activate at a moments notice. James woke up and leant over to kiss me on the cheek before snuggling into my wings. I shivered slightly as his cold hands came in contact with my wing.
I had just gotten back to sleep when I was woken by Calib, who was shaking my arm.
"It's still dark you should be asleep," I said groggily.
Calib looked outside and then back to me before saying,
"I c-can't sleep, I-I had a n-nightmare, can you p-play with me,".
I sighed and got up. It was obvious that I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep
It had been a few hours since Calib asked me to play with him and we were in the middle of a throwing game that I had never played before, Calib suddenly announced that they would be coming.
"what do you mean they are coming," I asked Calib, but I was scared that I already knew the answer.
"The rest," Calib answered.
I couldn't get anymore out of him after that. Before I knew it James, Ava and Lucinda were up and we were all heading to the castle for breakfast. For some reason, I still felt like something was going to happen.
