15/07/20-my date
04/12/1180-Game date"You wish to join the Black Eagles house?" Rhea beamed at you from her chair in the audience room.
It was just you and her in there, granted Henry was down the hall waiting, but this felt more personal than it should do.
"Yes, and so does Henry Ma'm." You didn't know how to address her so Ma'm just slipped out, reminding you of that old man who drove the carriage. That made you internally die but she didn't seem to mind.
"Alright! I'll let your new professor know, for now just get to know your surroundings and classmates." With that, it seemed you could leave, so you did. Henry was stood by the stairs having a conversation with a (regrettably) familiar black haired student. He waved you over, clearly not learning anything from before.
"So did it go well?" Henry quizzed, Hubert staying silent but still seeming intrigued.
"Yeah, she said she will talk to our new professor about it and to just relax until then." You shrugged your shoulders and fixed you shoulder plate that had come loose.
"Great! I was just asking Hubert here where the food hall would be located." You and Henry both turned to look at Hubert who seemed to be rather put on the spot for a guy who's been living here for the past four months.
"I was on my way there. Just follow." He sighed and pushed past you both, leading you down a flight of stone stairs and through the reception hall. Meanwhile, you and Henry spoke about the new uniforms you would be wearing, not noticing the stares you were getting from different students you passed. You weren't sure if the problem was you, or your ghastly tour guide.
"Here, Lady Edelgard and I will be seated over there once you get your food." Hubert pointed over to the familiar white haired girl who was engrossed in a hard back book.
"I'm surprised we get an invite." You japed, trying to get a reaction from the cold man.
"Don't push it, ___." He spat without even a glance back, the sound of your name being said by him sent a weird feeling through your body. It sounded different to all the other words he's said. As if he put in extra effort to make your name stand out.
"He's a funny guy, I like him." Henry stated, pulling you into a queue of students and monks alike trying to get some food.
"Well he doesn't seem to like anyone but Edelgard." You mumbled, staring at the pair sat at a table alone.
"Well, he's like Edelgard's version of me. Except I'm better looking and taller." He bragged, taking a step forward as the line moved. "Us retainers have to be superstitious , but in my opinion...I think he's being this cold on purpose."
You took your gaze away from the duo to give Henry a confused look.
"Elaborate, please."
"Well, Edelgard seems to know this guy well, she wouldn't make such a poorly presented joke if it didn't have meaning. The guy probably just doesn't want to admit that he actually likes someone bar his own liege." Henry was now at the counter, he took a few seconds to pick and choose what meal he should try that day, in the end he went with the fish. Just like you knew he would. You decided against the fish, opting for some mashed potatoes accompanied by some meat- pork you presumed.
"Well, time to sit with our not-so popular acquaintances." Henry smiled down at you, "Unless you wish to decline Doomsday's invite and explore the horizon of students here?"
You glanced around at the options, Edelgard and Hubert were glancing over at you and Henry, A red haired girl and a blonde haired girl were sat eating pudding together and a tall red haired guy was giving you suggestive looks from his seat next to two others.
"Lets just stick to what we know.." you sighed, giving side eye to the red head and following Henry to the table at the back corner.
"I thought Sylvain had swayed you there for a moment." Edelgard said, taking a bite out of her pie.
"If anything he scared me more than swayed me." You said, looking back to 'Sylvain' who was now being hit by a darker haired guy.
"Not as strong as you give off then, Crown Princess." Hubert took a sip of what smelled like coffee; your eyes met, his stare game was good, not one blink or smirk was let out. Not like previous times.
"Why don't you go on a date with him then, Hubert?" you retaliated, Henry let out a snort at the thought of Hubert asking that womanizer on a date. Edelgard seemed to find the thought amusing too as she looked down at her plate with a smile.
"Don't be absurd." He coughed, "I don't even have time for such things."
You raised your brows and took another bite of food.
"Well, Edelgard. Ignoring these two, how are you?" Henry spoke up, ending the feud.
"Quite well, although we seem to have an upcoming battle to prepare for. I hope you two are ready?" She looked at Henry to you and then back again.
"Well if you're referring to experience on the battlefield, we're all good. But I think I will be stopping into the market to purchase some last minute priorities." Henry stated, he seemed to have read your mind.
"He's right." You said, looking at Edelgard. "I still have to meet with our professor, so we will be quite busy after this meal." Edelgard just nodded and for a while after that it was quite quiet, Hubert would mention things to Edelgard and Henry would tell you stupid jokes to get milk to come out of your nose whenever you took a sip.
"Henry just go and buy supplies. Here.." You pushed your empty plate forward and rummaged in a hidden pocked placed on the inner arm part of your armour. Still hadn't found the time to change into something more comfortable. You took out some gold and gave it to him, eagerly accepting; he put it back into his own pocket and took both of your plates to the counter. Leaving right after with a wave.
"Well. I should be heading to the classroom." You hauled yourself up from the chair and looked down at Edelgard, ignoring Hubert completely.
"Do you need a guide? This is still your first day after all." She said with a small smile, something you could tell wasn't seen often.
"It's alright, but thank you. Enjoy the rest of that food, oh and that book." you motioned to the hard back that lay next to her plate, your eyes shifted to Hubert. His met with yours confidently once again, it was something you were growing used to. There was the urge to say goodbye to him too, but no words seemed to escape your parted lips. Making you look quite odd.
"Goodbye, ___." It was blunt, but still made you exhale loudly in response. You didn't respond to his goodbye, simply leaving it hanging in the open air; and leaving the room with it.

So it seems your character is trying the ignore method. Hubert might come running to you then?
