Knock KnockYour fist hit the wooden doors of the Black Eagle's class. There seemed to be no one there, and no one was in either of the other rooms or even on the courtyard to start with. You had to think, peeping through the purple stained windows, you saw a very empty classroom. Then it hit you, while being guided by Edelgard that morning you overheard a woman dressed in white with a very low-cut dress tell an older man with a monocle where 'Professor Byleth's' quarters were. She said it was the first room behind the class rooms. Now if she meant left or right, you didn't know but it was worth a try to test both.
You went to the left first, knocking on a door that sat right by a staircase leading to other rooms. Behind the doors could be heard banging and smashing followed by the words: "Caspar I told you I'd meet you there!" before you could tell the voice that you were indeed not 'Caspar' the doors were pulled back. A rather large student with curly blonde hair stood there, sauce around his mouth and his forehead shining from sweat.
"Oh. You're not Caspar." He slurred, as if the chicken he previously ate had some sort of alcohol in it.
"No. No I'm not." You said rather sheepishly, looking the guy up and down you noticed how his shirt was practically bursting open, them buttons must be hanging on by a threat this guy was so ripped.
"Wait a mo! You're that Princess everyone's been chattin' bout'!" His whole demeanor changed completely at the sudden realisation.
"I guess I am. Nice to meet you?" You lifted your hand for it to be yanked and practically be thrown about the place with his shake. Once letting go he went on:
"I'm Raphael! Part of the golden deer house, also kinda disappointed you didn't choose us as your house though.." His smile faded slightly and he suddenly had these sad puppy eyes! You felt guilty for not choosing this random guy you have never met.
"Well I have a feeling my younger brother will choose you. No need to worry." You smiled lightly at him, hoping it would work and make him grin from ear to ear again. Not even noticing a figure watching you from the gate meters behind.
"Hmm, okay. I guess he will be good to train with too. Not to be rude or anything miss, but why ya here?" a large hand lifted to scratch the back of his head as you realised why you actually were here. To find your professor!
"I'm looking for my professor's room, could you tell me where that would be?"
"Oh! Sure, I can see the mistake you made, here follow me I'm heading that way anyways." Raphael grabbed a training sword from the corner of his room and then shut the doors, walking you to your destination and chatting your ear off about how he was going to smash 'Caspar' in training today.
"Well it wasn't too far but here, you're good company Lady ___." Raphael laughed, pointing at an identical set of doors to his own. You would have thought a professor would have a bit of an upgrade..
"You too, I hope you beat Caspar!" you yelled as he walked away, waving. Turning to the right set of doors, you stepped up and knocked for the third time that day.
"Come in." A male voice responded. You lightly pushed on one of the doors and walked in, the room was almost identical to what you saw of Raphael's. The carpet was white, not yellow and there was many un-graded tests on a desk; accompanied by a very young man with dark Blue-ish hair and matching eyes. He was oddly handsome for a professor.
"Oh, are you ___?" The man leaned back in his chair, his face showing no emotion apart from sleep deprived. He removed a pair of thin red glasses and looked at you.
"Yes, one of your new students. Glad to meet you, Professor." You tried your best to give him the authority he deserved but you couldn't help but wonder if he was even older than you. It wasn't long until you were twenty after all.
"Yes, I have heard about you and your retainer. Here, I was given your uniforms but I got so caught up in this work I forgot to find you." He migrated like a sloth to his bed and picked up two neatly folded pile of clothes, then handed them to you, standing rather close than first imagined. "You can change the style I've heard. But these are all I have for now. I'll remember to ask about styles for you later, see me if you either want a change." Still no emotion change from the man, but it didn't matter, you could tell he was kind by his offerings when he was clearly busy.
"No need, I'm sure me and Henry will survive. Thank you, professor." you smiled sweetly, trying to get on his good side. "If it's not too rude, I suggest you take a nap of some sort. You look nearly dead with those bags."
"You're not wrong. If I keep going, at this rate I'll look like Hubert." He joked. "Oh, you might not know who that is yet..Sorry." You snorted, if only you didn't.
"Oh I know Hubert, Professor. I wish I didn't however." You laughed, thinking back to the 'pleasant' conversations you shared with the man.
"That's surprising. I'd stay away until he knows you won't kill Edelgard." he scrunched his nose up at a thought.
"Thank's for the tip, prof." you beamed. Heading for the door.
"Alright, see you at class, ___." He yawned as you left and closed the door lightly after you, leaving you with a large pile of clothes in your arms and one un-amused Hubert waiting outside.
"God!" You gasped, grasping the clothes tighter as Hubert stared down at you with a snarl.
"I was coming to talk with the professor, I didn't know you'd still be here." That was an absolute lie, he saw you talking to Raphael and followed you.
"Oh. Well he's all yours now." The mumble you tried to hush wasn't quite enough as Hubert heard, holding an arm out to stop you from walking.
"He seems tired. I'll come back later. Meanwhile, hand me some of that load, it's nearly bigger than yourself." He pointed at the clothes in your arms. He wasn't entirely wrong, you could just about see over the pile, help getting to the rooms you and Henry were given seemed nice.
"That's unusually kind of you."
"Take it or leave it , Crown Princess." One arm covered in a long uniformed sleeve was held open, waiting for you to give in and lighten the load; that's exactly what you did.
"Fine. Take some." You stumbled closer so he could take your clothes, leaving you with Henry's and a discomfort feeling knowing Hubert had your uniform in his hands.
"I think the words you are looking for are 'Thank you'. Surely they taught you that at the castle?"
"Whatever, Doomsday." The name Henry gave him before suited him well so you spat it at him like a llama, earning an eye roll in return.
