Chapter 30

Truth

The embarrassment for what happened earlier is still lingering in my system. Calming myself down. I don't even know why I agreed to his offer.

I sighed. It's not like I can decline now that I am here, right?

My eyes wandered around the place. Gaya ng inaasahan sa Acosta Hotel, the room has a modern design, packed with high end appliances. Unlike in their Manila branch which look too formal because of the dark colors used to it, light colors ang ginamit nila rito. The room also has a wide glass wall so you could have a nice view of the vast sea in front.

I stood up and went closer to the glass wall. The small flags with different colors near the shore dance as the wind blew them softly.

The peaceful sight made me at ease. I can't help but to be thankful. I'm glad I was taken here. It opened my eyes to a lot of things. It broaden my perspective in life and gave me a different kind of freedom.

Mapait akong ngumiti. I don't have any plans after I confront Samuel and tell him the truth. I feel like I'm saying goodbye to Revi who was born in this place, and live as Faith Reviyre Austria again.

Samuel went out from the said room. Wearing a black shirt and cotton shirt, his hair looked longer now that it's damped. Some strands of it are covering his narrow eyes. Using his long fingers, he brushed his hair up.

I averted my eyes and pursed my lips, realizing I was staring at him too much.

Samuel told me a while ago that he was about to go to the Hotel's gym when Ruby came. And here I thought they took a shower together this morning! Fuck! I think I need to attend a prayer meeting or something, my mind is polluted with lewd thoughts!

His eyes went to me. Kumurap-kurap siya.

"Do you want some coffee?" he offered.

I shook my head. "No, thanks."

He nodded then went to the kitchen. I turned my heel and looked at him as he opened the small fridge there.

"Magluluto ka?"

"Hmm,"

I crossed my arms. "Puwede namang um-order nalang,"

After getting what he needed, he closed the fridge. He stood straight then turned to me.

"I'm used to cook for myself so..." he paused for a bit. "Are you hungry? We can order—"

"I was just asking," I cut him off.

Samuel smiled and nodded.

His tall figure, broad shoulders and muscly arms, I thought men with the same body built as his would look out of place when in the kitchen. But in Samuel's case, he managed to look more manly and... attractive.

I gulped as I watched him quietly.

I won't lie, I've always find him attractive natatabunan nga lang 'yon ng pag-iisip kong creepy siya at may masamang plano dahil sa madalas na pagtitig niya sa akin at paglapit noon sa mga events na dinadaluhan namin ni Daddy. When he came here, I quickly noticed the small changes in him. He looks more rough and dark now that he makes me nervous when we're close.
