The calm river glistened a pale shade of gold against the setting sun as Taehyung and I sat down on the grass and huddled underneath a thick blanket after our bike ride. The brisk air stung my now wind burnt cheeks flushing a shade of pink underneath my burgundy colored beanie. We had spent the whole afternoon riding bikes along the Han River and eating street food as if we didn't have a care in the world.

We had went to the hospital to check up on Jimin, planning to spend our time there, but he wasn't having it. He insisted that we use Taehyung's day off from school to go on a date instead since I only have a few more days left.

Thankfully, he seems to be doing better. His eye is no longer swollen and the bruising has diminished quite a bit. It will be a while before his leg and ribs are healed, but his high spirits have us both feeling more at ease about the whole situation.

Jungkook on the other hand hasn't left his side. Only going back to his dorm to shower or leaving to go to class or get better food. No matter how much Jimin tells him he doesn't need to be babysat, Jungkook won't listen to him. It's endearing to see and as much as Jimin rolls his eyes every time he struts back in, I can tell he's really appreciative of him.

Taehyung pulls me in closer to his side and rubs my arm with his large hand to offer me a bit more warmth as we people watch the others roaming around us.

"I wish I had more time with you." He says lowly.

"Only like three and half more years to go!" I cheerfully respond while looking up at him with a bright smile as if it was more like three days.

He chuckles looking down at me with admiration. The wind slightly blowing his bangs, reminding me of the time we first met and I took him to my special place. "What's with us and water?"

"Good question." I respond with a shrug. "We do always find ourselves back to some kind of waterfront, huh?"

He nods and looks back across the river when the colorful lights of Seoul begin to turn on. Many skyscrapers and other large buildings brighten up the now night sky, leaving an equally colorful reflection on the water.

"Except back home, it's an endless ocean." He smirks. "And I honestly can't wait to go back."

"Have you talked to Uncle Kim lately?" I ask while adjusting my legs so that they're tucked further underneath the blanket.

A couple also on a date walks by holding hands and laughing about who knows what, temporarily jolting us away from our conversation.

"I texted him this morning to check in with him. He's doing good. Although, he got onto me for taking his Saturday brunch date away from him." He chuckles and pulls out his phone to show me all of the angry emojis he sent back to him earlier.

To be honest, I miss Uncle Kim and our brunch dates as well. He's more family than my own family has ever been. At first I was very emotional about not having much of a family of my own, but whoever said you can't choose family was a damn liar. Between Uncle Kim, Madison, and my other friends I've made, I think I've chosen a pretty good family so far. Who knows who else will end up being a part of it in the future.

Taehyung wraps the blanket tighter around us and rolls his body over mine, forcing me to lay back onto the blanket we had sprawled out on the ground underneath us. I giggle out at his sudden show of affection as he starts to quickly plant tiny kisses all along my face. He hovers over me, smiling back at me and staring into my eyes without saying a word for a moment.

"What are you thinking about?" I ask through the last bit of laughter, bringing my hand up to push away the bangs from his eyes.

"Nothing really. Just enjoying having you with me and admiring those hazel eyes." He smirks as I touch the tip of his nose with my index finger making a little boop sound as it makes contact. "There's nowhere else I'd rather be."
