Our last day for our short trip in Seoul was spent hanging out with his parents and Taehyung meeting with the new CEO at the Seoul location. Jimin and Jungkook also joined us for dinner yesterday evening. They were happy to see us together again and I was happy to know that they'd both be moving to the states in just a couple of weeks to start working at the company underneath Taehyung. It'll be good for him to have his closest friends nearby, especially since our dear Uncle Kim can no longer be by his side.
The flight back was much easier than the trip over, although takeoff and landing was still nerve wrecking. Something about going through the funeral process and saying our goodbyes was satisfying to our grieving souls, as tough as it was to go through. Taehyung and I watched many movies together during the long trip and even laughed together during the funnier parts. It was nice to not feel so numb for the first time in over a week and even though it's not one hundred percent back to normal, the ray of hope that it is slowly getting better shined a little bit brighter.
We both know Uncle Kim would completely scold us both, regardless of our ages, for sulking too long. He'd tell us that we both have our own lives to live and to not waste a day on it. And as surreal as it is, life really does go on after death. Every passing second that he's not here on this Earth makes me realize how resilient we all are. Everyone on this planet will lose someone they know at some point, but the time that they were with us will forever impact our lives. I'm grateful to have met Taehyung and in turn, Uncle Kim, for he was able to show me what life can really be like and to always put my best foot forward into this world.
The next morning, Taehyung gets out of bed promptly at six in the morning to start getting ready for work. Seeing him put on his professional attire made me smile as I admired him doing something as simple as buttoning the cuffs of his white shirt and the cologne he lightly sprayed made me softly hum his praises. I wish he could just stay home with me today, but I know he has to get back to work.
He looks over at me, squinting through the dark room until he smiles, realizing I was peeking up at him from underneath the covers, "Are you awake?"

"Mmhmm." I reply in a husky voice. "I'm just watching you."
With a smirk, he walks over to me and lays down on top of me, squishing me and making me laugh at the fact I can barely breathe. As he rolls over next to me, I adjust myself so that I can look at his handsome face.
"You're still my favorite thing in the morning." He lifts his head slightly to kiss me.
"You're mine too. I wish we could hang out today. I'm going to be so lonely." I pout with my best puppy dog eyes, making him chuckle at my reaction.
After having broken up with Ethan, I thought it was best that I didn't continue working at the firm after all. I had enough saved to get me through the next month or so of rent and my lease would be up soon anyway.
"What will you do while I'm at work?" He questions, pushing my messy hair out of my face.
"Umm..I need to do some things to get the art gallery going soon. Other than that, no real plans." I explain as I shift to put my arm under my head.
