"Is this it?" I ask surprised.

The house was large and well maintained. Perfectly sculpted bushes lined the brightly lit porch and the red front door in the center stood out amongst the white brick.

"Yes. This is my uncle's house." He types out another text which I'm assuming is to let his uncle know we're here.

Taehyung is the first to step out of the car and walks around to my door to wait for me to follow him, but I'm hesitant to move.

"What does your uncle do?" I hate to pry but sheesh.

"He's a video game developer and owns his own company." He shuts my car door and grabs my hand to lead me inside.

As soon as the front door opens, his uncle is there to greet us energetically as if it were more like three in the afternoon and not like it was in the middle of the night. He must work late.

"Hi! You must be Ava. Nice to meet you. I'm Taehyung's uncle. You can just call me Uncle Kim." He holds a hand out to shake mine and gives me a small bow.

I notice he's not much older like I imagined him being. When he said he was staying with his uncle, I pictured a guy in his late 40s or so with graying hair, but he had to be in his mid-30s or younger and he's handsome to boot. There are some good genes in this family.

"Nice to meet you too. Lovely home you have here." I speak like I'm talking to a parent.

"Thank you! Well, I'm headed back upstairs to continue working. Help yourself to the kitchen if you want anything. Taehyung, if you need anything just let me know." Uncle Kim pauses for a second until we both give a nod.

After his uncle has gone up the stairs, Taehyung begins to take his shoes off and he sees the confusion on my face.

"You too. Korean custom." He looks down at my sandals.

I take my shoes off and set them next to Taehyung's as he slides on a pair of slippers. He grabs my hand once again and walks me over to another room towards the back of the house on the first floor which looked like it was a guest bedroom but where he must spend his time and sleep while he's here.

"Is this okay? I thought we could watch a movie, but if you want to stay in the living room instead, we can. Up to you." He stands in the middle of the room, watching my every movement.

I look at the neatly made bed and computer set up in the corner. My eyes scan the room to a large flat screen on the wall adjacent to the bed and the sheer white curtains on the windows.

"Um..." I try to answer.

"Gentleman, I promise." He holds both of his palms up.

"Okay. This is fine." I walk over and place my bag on the dresser before walking around and sitting at the edge of the bed, slightly turned towards the television.

Taehyung grabs a remote and turns on the large flat screen, the blue light brightening up the room. He turns it on to Netflix and chooses his personal profile.

"What kind of movies do you like?" He asks as he scrolls through the list of choices.

"I like a lot of different kinds. You choose." I say with a nervous smile.

I could die right now. I've never been in a bedroom with a guy in my life, much less on his actual freaking bed. However, I'm put a bit at ease to notice that Taehyung is nervous as well as he sits down beside me. The dip in the bed causing me to uncontrollably scoot a bit closer to him.

To my surprise, he puts on a romantic comedy that I've never seen. I figured he'd put on a horror film or action movie, but once again he's proving he's really not like most guys I know and for a second, I wonder if it's the cultural differences or if it's just him.
