Before I start the story, I just wanna say that I am soo proud of the boys for making it this far🥺 I couldn't be any happier

The rest of the night, I sat by myself quietly, wondering what Daniel could be doing at the moment

"Em, what's wrong? What did Daniel say to you?" Anna asked confused

Jonah came up behind her with Anson in his arms

I bit my lip and looked down at my hands, what if he is lying though?

Anson suddenly started crying so Jonah left the room

"Emery, whatever Daniel told you, you have to tell me," Anna said

"He said tonight was the last time I would see him..." I mumble

"Okay... What is so bad about that?" She asked

"He's gonna kill himself, Anna"

It took her a second to process what I had just said and when it hit her, she immediately dialed a number and stepped outside

"Mommy! Jonah needs your help!" Annabeth said from another room

I got up and walked into Anson's room to see Jonah trying to change Anson's diaper

"It's not that hard, Marais," I say pushing him out of the way so I could do it

I started cleaning Anson when I felt Jonah's arms wrap around me

"What did Daniel tell you?" He asked me in a hushed tone

"He... Wants to end it" I mumble, finishing cleaning up Anson and putting on a new diaper

"Seriously?" Jonah asked shocked

"Yep," I say and grabbed Anson, turning around to Jonah

"He wouldn't..."

I shrug

"Emery, Jonah, put your shoes on, we're going to see Daniel," Anna said

I gave Jonah a look before we grabbed what we needed and left, Annabeth followed

"You called Daniel?" I asked getting in the back

"No, but I know where he is," She said pulling out of the driveway

I put Anson in his seat and buckle him up

Please don't tell me you've already killed yourself, Daniel

Time skip

We got to a nice apartment and Anna didn't hesitate to open the door, who leaves their door unlocked?

Jonah stayed in the car with Annabeth and Anson

We walked down a long hall until we made it to a room, and there was Daniel crying his heart out

"Dani" Anna said sitting down next to him

He looked up at her and then at me, he looked like he wanted to hug me but hesitated

I crouch down in front of him and bring him into my arms

"Why are you here?" He asked

"Because we're not gonna let you take your life," Anna tells him

His grip around me tightened

"Have you done anything that could harm you?" I asked him

He shook his head, his cries getting violent

"Its okay Dani, don't cry," Anna said comforting him

"Where's Anson?" He asked
"He's in the car with Jonah," I say

"I'll be back," Anna said and left the room

I pulled away from the hug just a bit to look at Daniel

His eyes were puffy and red from crying, and his blue eyes weren't as bright as they used to be

I wiped his tears and kisses his head

"I'm sorry" He mumbles
"It's okay," I tell him with a small smile

We then heard a giggle come from a baby and Daniel suddenly turns to see who it was

Anna came through the door with Anson in her arms

She gently passes him to Daniel and the baby started smiling up at him

"Hello" Daniel smiled

He laid the baby on his shoulder and hugged him

A small smile appeared on my face, it made me happy to see this

Daniel looked at Anson and smiles once more
