3 months later
A couple of months passed and Daniel, Jonah, and I grew closer
Today was Annabeth's birthday, and I was currently headed to the ice cream shop with her since she wanted to go
Anson had stayed back with Jonah and Daniel because they were decorating for her birthday
"Mommy, are we close yet?" She asked
"Just wait 20 more minutes princess," I tell her
As soon as I was about to turn, a car hits us and everything goes black
Jonah's POV
I and Daniel finally finished putting up the balloons and everything, Anson then started crying
"Can you pass me his milk," Daniel asked as he picked up Anson
I grabbed his milk and gave it to Daniel
"Do you think Em already got to the ice cream shop?" I wondered
"Probably, you should call her," Daniel said
I grab my phone and dialed her number
It rang for a while so I just hung up
"She isn't picking up," I tell him
"That's strange, she always picks up" Daniel murmured
He grabs his phone and tries calling her, but she doesn't pick up
"I don't want to worry but something tells me I should," I say
"Let's just stay calm for now," He said, but you could hear that he was worried
I bit my lip and sighed
"She's with Annabeth, Daniel..."
I covered my face, feeling anxious and scared
"Hey man, they will be fine," Daniel said sitting next to me
"I hope so..."
Time skip (2 and a half hours later)
By this time I had lost it and grabbed my keys
"Are you coming or not?" I asked him
"Yup," He said
He grabbed Anson and we headed to my car
"Where exactly are we going?" Daniel asked as I pulled out of the parking
"The hospital, where else?"
I was frustrated, I could've at least gotten a call
Time skip
As I enter the hospital, I go up to the main desk
"Is there a lady named Emery Addams here?" I asked
"Let me search for her name..." She said, typing into her computer
She gives me a worried look and nods
"Where is she? And where is my daughter?" I freaked out
"Jonah, take deep breaths, everything is gonna be okay," He said patting my back
The nurse gives me the room number and I immediately go to it
A doctor comes out of the room and I approach her
"How is she?" I ask her
"Emery Addams and Annabeth?" The nurse questioned
"Yes, how are they?"
"Well... As for Emery, she isn't in the best condition because the car that hit them was on her side, she lost a lot of blood and we're currently trying our best to keep her alive..." The nurse tells us
I step back for a second, not believing anything she was saying
"And Annabeth, she is fine, she has some cuts and a broken bone but she is awake"
Tears started uncontrollably falling, there's no way that's true
"Can we see them?" Daniel asked, trying his best not to break down
"Yeah, of course"
He walked into the room, but I stayed outside for a moment
Daniel's POV
I walked in and saw Annabeth first, she laid there with tears in her eyes
"Mommy... Wake up..." She mumbled
I look over at Emery and my heart broke
That's when the tears started falling
Slowly, I walked up to her and stood beside her
"Dani... Why is mom not waking up?" Annabeth sobbed
I bit my lip and let the tears fall, this can't be happening
"I don't know..." I mumbled
I grabbed Emery's hand and sat down
"Please wake up..." I cried
The door opened, and I heard sobbing, Jonah came in
"Daddy... Mommy won't wake up" Annabeth whined
Someone, please tell me she will wake up...
