The whole week, Emery had been in a coma, and every day, Jonah got worse

I wasn't doing well myself, but I stayed strong, for Anson

Annabeth was out of the hospital, she stayed with her aunt, but that was good, she shouldn't be here right now

Emery had not moved at all, there was no new news about her, I wonder if she was feeling well... Could she hear me?

Jonah walked in the room and sat across from me, grabbing onto her hand and squeezing it three times, it's something he does often

It means 'I love you'

But every single day, he got weaker, and I didn't like seeing him like this, we both know Emery wouldn't either

"Jonah, you need to start taking care of yourself more, for Em..." I tell him

He just stays quiet, I wondered what he was thinking

I sigh, knowing it's useless trying to get him to start doing something

"How long do you think she'll be like this?" He asks, finally speaking

"I don't know... It could be years..."

Anson reached up for his mom, but his smile fell when he noticed she wasn't going to grab him

2 months later

They suggested to take her off life support multiple times now, I'm slowly losing hope, but Jonah keeps fighting and refuses to take her off life support

He was eating now, just a bit but he ate

The doctors told us that she had moved her finger a couple of times, but that's all she has done

"Daniel, they just called me from the hospital... She's awake"
