Emery Addams

I woke up in the arms of somebody, most likely Daniel

It was around 6:30 Am when I woke up, the hospital was quiet

"Good morning Em" I hear Daniel mumble
"Morning," I say

He brought me closer, laying his head on my shoulder

"How did you sleep?" he asks me
" I slept well, what about you?"

" I slept great," he says

It stayed silent for a while, Daniel rubbed my back slowly, while I played with his hair

"you hungry?" Daniel asks
"a little bit, yeah"

"I'll go get some food," he says sitting up
I nod, closing my eyes again

I felt him get up, the door opening and then closing

Time skip

The whole day was spent singing random songs, telling dumb jokes, eating a lot, and all of the above

Daniel was tickling Anson at the moment, Anson giggling loudly

"This little guy is gonna pull all the girls, look how handsome he is!" Daniel said picking him up and turning him to me

"he's gonna be a heartbreaker" I laugh

Time skip

Jonah came by a couple of hours later, he looked confused

As soon as Daniel left to go somewhere, he finally decided to speak up

"My ex just texted me saying she wants to get back together..." he rambles

I didn't know how to feel, I couldn't remember anything

"do you not want to be with her?" I asked him
"no... I wanna be with..." he trails off

He looked up at me for a quick second

"she just wants to bother me..." he rolled his eyes
I nodded slowly

"and Annabeth, what about her?" I ask

"she said she wants to be around her daughter more too, she doesn't even want her"

"Are you gonna do something about it?" I ask
" I don't know yet, Em" he sighed

I then started feeling short of breath

"can you call a doctor?" I tell him
He gave me a worried look but went to get a doctor

Daniel, Jonah, and the doctor came into the room worried

"Are you okay ma'am?" The doctor asked
" I can barely breathe," I say, starting to slowly gasp for air

"Okay, I'm just gonna put this on.." he says, putting a mask on me

The doctor calls in more doctors into the room and soon enough, they told Daniel and Jonah to leave the room

I wasn't feeling very good by now, my breath wasn't the best, it got to a point where I started hyperventilating

Jonah's POV

When they rushed us out of the room, Daniel and I started freaking out, didn't they say she was good?

"Daddy!" I hear Annabeth's voice
I turn and see her with Anna and Keri

They see our worried expression and rush up to us

"what happened?" Anna asks

" I dont know, the doctors just rushed us out," Daniel says

They started worrying too, and when a doctor came out of her room, Daniel was the first to ask

"What happened to her?" He asks

"well, she has some air escaping her lungs, she needs to go into surgery as soon as possible," the doctor said
