When Emery came outside and asked who Eva was, I mentally cursed

She stood there looking at me with a sad look, breaking my heart into tiny pieces

"She's this girl that apparently is obsessed with Daniel and made him do the whole dead act, she also used to be a very close friend of ours, not anymore though," Anna said and went inside

Anson then extended his arms out for me to grab him

Emery sighed and gave me the baby

Anson smiled looking up at me, which made me smile

"I don't want to see you, Daniel, you know this" Emery started

"But that doesn't mean you can't see Anson, you'll get your time with him, but not with me, whatsoever," She said

I really wanted all of us three to go somewhere one day and just be a happy family, but I doubt that will happen

"But I don't want him around Eva" She then said

I nod and look down at Anson

"I wasn't planning on bringing him to her anyway," I told her

I look back up to Emery to see her looking at the ground when a tear fell

"Don't cry Em" I say, picking her head up and wiping away her tears

She let out a shaky breath and looked up at me

You could tell how broken she was by looking in her eyes

In a swift movement, I kissed her

I knew she hated me, but I just needed to kiss her, at least one last time

Surprisingly, she kissed back

She pulled away and stepped back, not making any eye contact with me

"I guess I'll go then," I tell her and hand her, now, sleeping Anson

As I walked away, she called my name one last time

"Daniel"

I turn to look at the crying Emery behind me

"I love you" She sobbed

My heart simply broke at the words

"I love you so much more Em, please remember that," I tell her

She walks up to me and just stands there

"Where are you going now?" She asks

I sigh and kiss her head

"A place... Where I can't hurt you, or anyone" I say

"What do you mean?" She asked, looking up at me, tears streaming down her face

"Don't worry hun, just know that this is the last time you see me" I gave her a weak smile

Before I could leave, she grabs onto me with her free hand

"Your not going to kill yourself, right?" She suddenly asked, her voice cracking

I stayed quiet, just watching her

"Please tell me you won't harm yourself in any way, Daniel, please?" She begged

"Em, I have to go"

"No, promise me that you won't take your life, no matter how much I hate you, I don't want you gone..." She cried into my chest

I bit my lip trying to hold back my tears

I gently pushed Emery away and started walking to my car again

Her cries got a little bit louder, making me fight the urge to take her with me and restart

I got in my car and turned it on

Looking up, I saw Emery standing there, tears streaming down, and Anson sleeping
