I woke up to someone moving closer to me

Confused, I open my eyes and look down to see Emery in my arms

Slowly, a small smile appeared on my face

I had missed her so much these 3 years that we hadn't seen each other, and now that I'm here, it makes me happy

"Daddy?" Annabeth's voice was heard

I look over at the door and see Annabeth

"What's up?" I say as I slowly sit up

"Can I sleep here? I had a bad dream" she asked, pouting

"Of course, come here,"

She walks over to my side of the bed and I pick her up, laying her on top of me

I look over to Emery to see she had her eyes open

"Goodnight Daddy, Goodnight Mommy," Annabeth said before going back to sleep

I see a smile form on Emery's face which made me happy

"Goodnight Princess," Emery said rubbing her back

Emery looked back up to me with the same smile

Some may be wondering if I still liked her, and all I can say is, More than ever

She's just never left my mind, from the day that I left to live in Minnesota to now, she has always been a big part of my heart

"Your cute" I mumble
She giggles quietly and shakes her head

If I could, I would drop down on one knee and change her last name, but I just couldn't do that, she loves Daniel

"What are you thinking about?" She asks as if she knew something was going through my mind

"Just... Something" I mumble looking away

"What is it? Tell me"
I chuckle and shake my head

"I would, but I don't want to ruin anything," I say, turning towards her and laying Annabeth in the middle

"Is it about Daniel?" She asked
"Sort of"

She nods and lays her hand on my cheek

"You know you can trust me, right? I won't push you away or anything just because of what you say or think of Daniel" She said

I nod and sigh, biting my lip

"I just... I was thinking about us... You know? And..." I trailed off

"Do you still like me?" She asked

I look into her eyes and nod, feeling anxious

She nodded with a small smile, making me feel comfortable

"And it's not just... Like you... It's more like... Love you... To the max..." I mumble, still looking into her eyes

She smiles, her eyes tearing up a bit

She removed her hand from my cheek to look at her ring, it was beautiful

"Do you ever wonder... What it would've been like if I never met Daniel?" She asks

"Sometimes... But its good that you did, he made you so happy" I smile

She chuckles and wipes her tears

"would you think we would have gotten married?" She asked me another question

I pause for a second, not expecting that

"I would definitely propose... So yeah... We most likely would've"

She looks up at me with a sad smile

I pouted and brought her closer, being careful not to squish Annabeth

Annabeth then hugged Emery

"I would still propose... But I don't want to take Daniel's place, not with everything that happened" I tell her

She starts crying quietly which broke my heart

I slowly and carefully move Annabeth to my other side and bring Emery into my arms

"Its okay Em, don't cry," I say rubbing her back

I pull away a little to see her face
She looks up at me and sighs

I wipe her tears and kiss her head, trying to comfort her

"Thank you... For being here all this time" She said with a small smile

Just shut up and kiss me
I smile at what went through my head

"I'll always be here for you Em"
She nods

Suddenly, I feel her lips on mine
