I sat next to a sleeping Emery when she rolled herself on top of my legs

"Emmy," I said wondering if she was awake

I chuckled and pulled her up so she could rest on me

"Daniel?" She mumbled
"Yeah?"

"I'm hungry"
"Then let's go eat," I say and pick her up

I walk downstairs with Her in my arms and sat at the island counter

"Someone is hungry" I chuckled
"That's great! Food is ready" Mom giggled

Emery moved her arms from my neck to my torso and stayed there

"Here you go!" Mom said and set a plate of food on the table for Em

"Cmon, time to eat" I whisper to her
"Do you want me to move?" She asked

"No, stay with me"
She nodded and sat up, starting to eat her food

I chuckled as mom put a plate of food in front of me

"Bon appetite!" She smiles

"Thanks, mom," I say
"No problem Hun"

Time skip

As we finished eating, I grab Emery and take her to the living room where Anna was

I sit next to her and sigh

"She been sleeping all day?" Anna asked

I looked down at her to see she had fallen asleep again

"Yeah, she's really tired," I say caressing her cheek

"She's adorable" Anna giggled
"Yeah, she is"

"You love her?" Anna asked lowly
I turn to her and nod

She smiled and poked me
"Look at you" she teased

"Leave me alone"

Emery's POV

They thought I was asleep, but I wasn't

But Daniel caressing my cheek made me sleepy

"I actually made a promise with her, that we wouldn't do anything that we shouldn't do, and it's been hard for me, but to her, it's like it isn't bothering her" He sighed

"How would you know? You know she won't say what's on her mind"

"I don't know Anna, I know she loves me, but I don't know how much, she said she loves me enough to break the promise, but that's all, I don't know how far she is willing to go"

"Find out then"
"How?"

"Go on a date, a friendly date, then you should ask her to express the way she feels about you If she loves you enough to do anything for you..."

"I don't know, I don't wanna force her"

"Then are you gonna suffer and wait till she says something?"

"Yeah," he said sadly
