Nighttime came by faster than I expected

Everyone was packing up to leave while I just sat on the blanket staring at the stars

Jonah was talking to Daniel but obviously, Daniel looked pretty annoyed

"What are you thinking about?" Someone asked as they walked near me

I looked up to see Kay
I sighed and sat up

"I may have done something completely horrible" I mumble

"What's that?" She asked sitting in front of me

"Well, it's about Daniel, its really bad, and you gotta promise me you won't ever tell anyone else this" I warn her

"I cross my heart, hope to die, stick a thousand needles in my eye, trust me, I would never," she says

I took a deep breath getting ready for what I was about to say

"Daniel, my stepbrother, I guess you could say he..." I trail off

"He what?"

"He likes me, I guess, he kissed me before and, Jonah doesn't know about it, I tried to stop him various times but..."

"He's tried it more than once?" Kay exclaimed

I nodded looking down

"And nobody knows?" she asked
"Not one soul, except for you"

She nodded and held my hand

"Its gonna be okay, just try to stay away from him as much as you can, and if it goes too far, tell your parents"

"But I don't want him to get grounded for the rest of his life because he likes me" I frowned

"How far has he gone?" She asked
"He's... Taken a shower with me..."

"Girly, you can't let him take control over you, especially since he's gonna start to hang out with Alexis, you already know she's a whole snake" Kay gagged

I giggled and shook my head
"Yeah, I gotta watch out for her"

"Hey, Kay! We're Leaving!" Zach shouted

"Well, I'll see you soon, bye Em," She says before leaving

I stand up and walk down the beach

The moon shined over the ocean, making it sparkle giving me great vibes

The waves were gentle, the air was cold, and the moon shined brighter than my future

Suddenly, two arms wrapped around me tightly

I tilted my head upwards to see a cute little Jonah

"You okay?" He asked
"Yeah, I'm fine"

He spun me around and picked me up, laying my head on his shoulder

My eyes were starting to get heavy and I tried my best to keep them open but failed

Jonah's POV

As I made it to the car I noticed Emery had fallen asleep

I smiled and laid her down in the backseat

I went to the back of my car and opened the trunk to get one of my hoodies for Emery

I went back to where she was and slowly picked her up

Carefully, I put the hoodie on her and laid her back down, heading to the drivers seat now

I drove to my house instead of hers since I didn't want any trouble, her dad already met me and I don't want to see him again, not after what happened last time
