Ch. 18 - Interview

"Hello Mr. Yoongi," the young man waved at me with his cute smile.

"You can have as many flowers as you want,"  his face brightened right after hearing what I said. His smile made his cheek go squishy and his eyes to smile with him.

"Really? I can even take some back home?"

I couldn't help to smile as I nodded. I haven't met someone this age with such innocent eyes. His smile was as precious as his gaze. I wondered what's behind those innocent smiles. "Yes, of course. You can pick whatever colors you like."

He excitedly bowed again before turning his back away to go to the garden. "By the way, how are you Jeon and Jimin? Nice to see you again."

Jungkook raised an eyebrow at me. I knew he would say something sarcastic. After all these years, I realized that he hadn't grown up. We used to be rivals in high school. Academics, sports, even in love. Looking back, that was so childish. Typical young boys trying to be the best and on top. I guess I was past that stage. I had nothing against him. For me, it's part of growing up.

"We are fine Yoongi. Thank you for asking. I'm glad to see you again," Jimin answered instead. I'm sure he knew that Jeon was being immature again.

I was surprised when the young man appeared and handed me a flower. I hesitated to accept but received it in the end. I only receive flowers when I graduated so I was taken-a-back by the gesture. "Oh, thank you! What are these for?"

"Because you're good to me," he said in a very joyous tone, and the way the young man said that to me, it looked like Jungkook didn't like it.

"Thank you. You're also very nice. By the way, what's your name?" I asked.

"My name is Seokjin."

Jungkook immediately pulled the young man by the waist and looked at him, in my opinion, forced fondly. "He's my boyfriend."

Seokjin nodded with a grin. "Yes! He's my boyfriend Kookoo."

I couldn't help to snort. The way Seokjin said it was so funny and I saw how Jimin tried to stop himself from laughing.

"Anyway, I think mom is waiting for your presence in her office. And I have to go now and check my schedule. Nice to see you both again and nice meeting you Seokjin," Jin gave me a sweet smile and a small wave while Jungkook gave me a passive expression.

One thing I was sure of, he hadn't changed.

I wore my prescription glass so I could browse my social media account before reading my business email. I knew that it would be a busy day ahead. This had been my routine. Personal things first before business.

I scoffed as I saw a viral post going on social media. It happened a few hours ago according to the one who posted it. The picture showed a man kissing his 'boyfriend' in a coffee shop. The person who posted it wrote a caption that said, 'the most sought bachelor is indeed taken. Look at Jungkook kissing his boyfriend' followed by hundreds of crying emoji and hundreds of comments with broken hearts.

Indeed, it was a very Jungkook thing to do. He used to love attention but lately, he was rarely seen in public. It's been months since I last saw him being interviewed by a lifestyle writer until a picture of him with a guy surfaced in social media. It went viral for a while and was the topic of the business and showbiz world. It's possible as Jungkook was an 'IT' guy of Korea.

I could feel there was something fishy about his relationship with that guy, who happened, unfortunately, to be Seokjin. Seokjin was a bit different. He looked so innocent to be Jungkook's boyfriend. Oddly, Jungkook fell in love with a man like Jin. One thing that made it odder, his father already announced just this morning that Jungkook was getting married. Seokjin and Jungkook didn't have that spark in them. It seemed as if they didn't know each other well. It was like a forced relationship and like what I've said, a very Jungkook thing to do. But who am I to question him? It's none of my business. But at the same time, I felt sad about Seokjin.
