"Where do you two think you're going?"
Draco and I had to go on the run until we were told it was safe to go back to the manor or the school. Criminal status had been placed on us for attempted murder, letting the death eaters penetrate the castle walls, and being a death eater ourselves. It was scary to know that families talked about us at night. Talked about how awful we were. How we deserve to rot in Azkaban for eternity. I was beginning to think they were right.
I was the one who almost said the words. I was the one who let Cedric go into the maze. I was the one who poisoned and cursed innocent people. That was me.
"Good morning," Bellatrix said as I came out of the room I was sleeping in. Bellatrix, Fenrir, Draco, and I went into hiding and stayed in a cabin in the woods, protected by magic so no one on the outside could see it. We were safe, for now.
"Morning." I yawned walking over to the couch in front of the fireplace. I pulled out a book for the first time in a long time and kicked my feet up. Then I felt a weight on the other side of the couch. I moved the book down so I could see who it was. A smile spread across my face.
"Well good morning, Dracey." He glared at me warningly but with a slight trace of a smile. I set my book down and moved my feet off the couch where they were met with the black carpet on the floor. "You alright?"
"Yeah, just- do you mind coming outside with me for a minute?" He asked and I nodded following him out of the door. I took my first breath of fresh air that I had for the last couple of days. It was nice out.
"So, what's up?" I asked when we were far enough from the small house.
"I don't know. I just hate being stuck inside." I let out a laugh at him.
"You could've just said so." We walked over to a tree. It wasn't the same as the one at Hogwarts but it would do for now. Well, if we ever go back to Hogwarts. The possibility felt weird to me. Everyone now knew who we were. Fred, George. Theo, Tracey. They all knew who I had become behind their back. I felt like I was even worse of a human than I did before knowing I left my best friends in the dark.
"I've been thinking," Draco says interrupting my thoughts.
"Oh, have you now?" I said sarcastically turning to face him.
"Yeah. Now shush and let me talk." I rolled my eyes jokingly at him. "Since we're kind of stuck out in the middle of nowhere. How about we go explore?"
"Draco wants to explore?" I asked for clarification.
"Mhm."
"We're going now," I say happily as I stood up from the tree quickly, reaching my arm out for Draco to take. He did and I pulled him up, a bit too closely since he bumped into me almost knocking me over but I caught myself. Draco just laughed at me. I shoved him a little bit before we walked further into the woods.
"Where do you think you two are going." A voice said before we even made it five feet.
"Sorry, Bella," Draco says before slumping his shoulder and turning back to go to the house.
"ah ah ah." She stops him once more. "We aren't going back to the cottage." Her voice because shrilly with excitement. "We're going back to the manor." Her voice was sing-songy like she had been practicing it as she jumps around happily. "We get to go home!"
