"Cedric's strong he'll be ok. I reminded myself. He'll be fine."

The summer was great. It was the best time I'd had in a long time. At the end of summer, we went to a huge quidditch game but at the end of it, he who shall not be named made a semi appearance. At least his followers did...

It was terrifying. I hadn't been that scared at Hogwarts yet but here we are. I was excited for the next year after Dumbledore told us that there was going to be the tri wizard tournament. It sounded fun. Dangerous, but fun.

A new teacher arrived for defense against the dark arts and he seemed interesting. I was sat behind Draco and next to Pansy in his class. I was not happy with it at all.

While Mad-Eye was throwing around this bug thing he threw it at Draco making him whine. That was the highlight of the day honestly.

Now, we were in the great hall awaiting the tri wizard champions to be chosen. I knew Cedric put his name in the goblet but I was praying more than anything for him not to be chosen. Dumbledore was very serious about the age limit meaning it was very dangerous and if Cedric died I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. He was my not real older brother but I couldn't lose him.

"Now the moment you've all been waiting for! The champion selection!" Dumbledore stated proudly as everyone took their seats. My heart was beating with a mixture of excitement and fear. He dimmed all the lights as he started to pace to the blue flame that soon turned pink.

A piece of parchment shot up from the flame, landing in the Headmaster's hands.

"The Durmstrung champion is... Viktor Krum." He announced as we all cheered for him. He was a player in the champion ship game we went to watch.

The flame turned pink once more and repeated what it did before. A blue paper landed in his hand this time.

"The champion for Beauxbatons... is Fleur Delacour." He announced once again filling the hall with cheers for their next champion. My heart rate picked up as the only school left is Hogwarts.

Not Cedric.
Not Cedric.
Not Cedric.

Theo rubbed circles on my back trying to get me to calm down at least a little bit. It wasn't working.

Once again paper shot from the flame into his hands. My heart was skipping beats becoming uneven as it dropped to my feet then back to my head. I stiffened up my back to hold in the tension.

"The Hogwarts champion,"

Not Cedric
Not Cedric
Not Cedric

"Cedric Diggory!" I squinted my eyes shut roughly. This isn't happening. I just misheard it. I opened my eyes again to see Cedric looking at me giving me a big thumbs up as he walked towards Dumbledore. NO.

I covered my face in my hands clutching onto my hair. Cedric's strong he'll be ok. I reminded myself. He'll be fine.

Dumbledore showed us the TriWizard Cup before another whooshing noise was coming from the flame. Everyone's head turned. Why was another name coming up?

He caught the parchment and as he read the name in his head his face dropped.

"Harry Potter." He said barely audible. Did I hear that right? "Harry Potter?" He said once again whipping around the face the crowd. "HARRY POTTER!" Dumbledore shouted angrily at the underaged wizard. He was not very calm. This was going to be interesting.

I paced around the courtyard waiting for Cedric to meet me where I owled him too. I hadn't talked to him since his name was drawn from the cup.
