Anna gazed out of the car window as the small vehicle stretched round the narrow roads. Trees hung so low that the branches stroked the roof as tyres graced over the collection of small stones scattered on the uneven land below. The window was open allowing a warm summer breeze to blow stands of her golden hair around her face like blades of straw. She rested her chin on her arms as the car approached a small village she knew inhabited her best friend.

"There you go Anna" smiled her mother (Savannah) as they pulled up outside one of the dozens of houses. The door on this particular house had been painted a sage green while hanging baskets holding white flowers swayed happily as a sign of welcome.
"Thanks mum" smiled the blonde as she practically threw open the door in her excitement. A hefty suitcase was lifted out of the trunk despite the girl only lingering in the country for a week.

She hugged her parents goodbye and thanked them for bringing her. Considering Anna's home resided in a town along the Scottish Borders called Berwick, it hadn't been a particularly long journey. Despite this she was appreciative that her parents had agreed to let her stay with Patrick for an entire week.
The sage green door sprang open and there stood Patrick smiling happily at her. He'd grown his hair out in his second year meaning it was messier than ever and lay like a mop on his head framing his pale face.

"PATRICK" yelled the girl who had seen her friend only mere weeks ago. She ran forward and hugged him tightly as he laughed at her excitement.
Behind the blonde boy came a girl who looked rather similar to him with longer and darker hair and eyes shaped like almonds.
"Hi Anna!" She grinned happily "I'm Liliana" she stretched out a long fingered hand for the blonde girl to shake which she did so politely.

"Hi Mrs Jones" smiled Patrick as he turned to Anna's mother who was still standing by her car,
"Call me Savannah" she ensured "I've heard a lot about you from Anna" she continued,
"All good I presume" smiled Patrick. A dashed and disheveled looking woman came pacing out of the house behind the two Larson's. Her dark hair hung limp as she panted for breath.
"Sorry, cat got stuck in a tree" she breathed before walking over to Savannah.

As the two mothers talked, Patrick lifted up Anna's suitcase and led her into the small cottage like home.
"AMELIA" called Lily as she swung round the banister playfully "AMELIA WE HAVE GUESTS"
Another blonde came flying out of an upstairs bedroom almost falling down the flight of wooden stairs as she smiled happily at the young girl. Her pale blonde hair shone beautifully in the warm glow cast from the lamps.
"It's great to meet you Anna" the blonde smiled "good to have another girl here"

"I'm a girl" huffed Liliana at her sisters remark "mums a girl"
"You don't act like one" Amelia retorted "and I meant a girl our age"
"There's not a certain way to act" Liliana replied before she stalked off to the garden, presumably to find some more bugs,
"Do you want anything to drink?" Asked Amelia as they entered the dark green kitchen.
